Congrats to Ken Roczen on a well deserved Supercross Championship.

In 1986, Chuck Norris starred in The Delta Force, and one scene cemented itself in action movie history. Norris played Major Scott McCoy, tearing through the streets of Beirut on a custom-built 1985 Suzuki SP600 dirt bike fitted with mounted rocket launchers. He destroyed enemy jeeps, blasted through buildings, and rode that bike straight onto a moving 707 during takeoff.

The bike wasn't just a prop. Suzuki America designed and built it specifically for the film, then handed it off to the production team in Israel before shooting began. It was a purpose-built machine for the most over-the-top motorcycle sequence of the decade... and arguably ever.

They later became known as the DR series in the states, and the 600 became a DR650 in 1990 with a mini fairing, luggage rack, and handguards.

Chuck Norris passed away this week at 86. From the dojo to the dirt bike, he made powersports look larger than life.
