1. This position involves a wide variety of tasks associated with being a mechanic.
2. Skills and experience working on diesel trucks and trailers preferred. Truck and diesel mechanical degree or 4 years of experience preferred.
3. HS Diploma/ GED required.
4. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Commercial licensing preferred and can be acquired after hiring.
5. General Knowledge of ordering parts, inventory and invoicing.
6. Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills required.
7. Company loyalty and team player are a must.
8. Ordering parts as needed and follow-up on delivery time.
9. Answers customer phone calls and serves in-store customers.
10. Appointment scheduling.
11. Assisting the manager with shuttling vehicles to and from the shop.
12. Shop maintenance and organization. Keep the shop and your work area in a neat and orderly manner.
13. Basic computer and organizational skills.
14. QuickBooks knowledge in invoicing and expenses is helpful but not required (training is available).
15. Excellent customer service skills.
16. Attention to detail.
17. An ability to take direction and utilize your time efficiently.
18. Limited personal phone calls, texts, and other personal computer browsing while on company time.
19. Heavy lifting required, must be able to lift 50+lbs.
20. Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced shop environment.
21. Observe and comply with company safety procedures.
22. Team player with exceptional customer service skills
