🏈 The Growth of Flag Football Is a Win for Harford County 🏈

We want to congratulate UCYFL and the local recreation programs that are helping expand flag football opportunities throughout Harford County.

This is a significant step forward for our athletes, our schools, and our communities - especially for the continued growth of girls flag football.

The reality is simple - the more opportunities kids have to play, the better. Flag football continues to grow across the country, creating opportunities for boys and girls to stay active, build confidence, develop leadership skills, learn teamwork, and create lifelong friendships.

But one of the most exciting parts of this movement is the future it can create for female athletes. Every new girls flag football opportunity helps build momentum toward sanctioned high school girls flag football and gives more young athletes a chance to represent their schools, compete with pride, and be part of something bigger.

What makes this especially exciting is that many of these programs operate on different schedules, giving families greater flexibility and allowing athletes to participate in multiple opportunities throughout the year.

The timing couldn’t be better. With many local fall programs preparing for their inaugural seasons, our Summer Flag Football Academy provides the perfect opportunity for players to learn the game, improve their skills, build confidence, and prepare for both our Friday Night Fall League and other local fall flag football programs that operate on Saturday mornings.

At the end of the day, this is bigger than any one league, team, or organization. It’s about creating opportunities for kids, strengthening our communities, supporting our schools, and continuing to build momentum for the future of flag football in Harford County.

As the sport continues to grow, we hope all organizations can work together to support a shared vision: giving every child the opportunity to play while helping pave the way for expanded opportunities β€” especially the future of sanctioned high school girls flag football.

When more kids are playing, learning, competing, and having fun, everybody wins. ❀️🏈

🏈πŸ”₯ TONIGHT. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS. πŸ”₯🏈

The regular season is over.

The standings are set.

The playoff brackets are locked.

Now the only thing left to decide is…

πŸ’ Who leaves with Championship Rings?
πŸ† Who raises the Lombardi Trophy?
πŸ‘‘ Who earns bragging rights until Fall 2026?

Every division starts tonight with the same goal:

βœ… Survive and advance.
βœ… Leave it all on the field.
βœ… Become Champions.

From our undefeated #1 seeds to the teams fighting their way through the bracket, records no longer matter.

It’s win or go home.

Will the Jets finish the perfect season?

Can the Cardinals stay undefeated?

Will the Giants complete their dominant run?

Can the Eagles soar through the playoffs?

Or will an underdog shock everyone and make a championship run?

πŸ‘€ We are about to find out.

πŸ“Έ Championship team photos will be taken immediately following each championship game.

πŸ† Lombardi Trophies and Championship Rings will be presented under the UAFLAG canopy near the pavilion following each title game. If weather or operations require a location change, our staff will direct teams accordingly.

Thank you to every player, coach, parent, referee, and staff member who helped make Friday Nights at Cedar Lane the place to be this spring. The atmosphere, sportsmanship, energy, and memories have been incredible.

Now let’s finish the season the right way.

🏈 Good luck to every team.
🏈 Play hard.
🏈 Play with sportsmanship.
🏈 Have fun.

And let’s crown some champions tonight.

πŸ‘‡ Predictions time…

If legislation is approved by three divisions in January, its first championship projected to be held in spring 2028.

🏈 10 YEARS. ONE OF OUR BIGGEST SEASONS YET. 🏈

Registration is officially OPEN for our 10th Annual Spring Flag Football Season with
UA Flag – Under the Lights Football.

This spring is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons in league history - with major upgrades, new experiences, and opportunities our athletes have been asking for.

πŸ”₯ What’s new this season:
β€’ Every player receives their own custom UA Flag football belt to keep
β€’ Head coach background checks reimbursed annually
β€’ League swag available on-site for the first time
β€’ More food trucks on game days
β€’ Special guests throughout the season
β€’ πŸ† FIRST-EVER Multi-State Regional Tournament

Following our spring season, we’ll host a 2-day Regional Tournament (June 6–7) welcoming teams from:
The Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York

This gives teams a secondary opportunity to advance to the National Tournament at IMG Academy at the end of July.

⚠️ Important:
Last spring, nearly 200 athletes were placed on a waiting list that we could not accommodate.
Our goal this year is simple: make sure no athlete gets left out. We’re actively planning expanded capacity and exploring a secondary site - but early registration is critical.

Spots are limited and divisions fill fast.
Let’s make our 10th season under the lights one to remember.
