Today Jimmy's Automotive and Recovery donated $600 for the shelter animals. We want to thank all those who got their oil changed at Jimmy's because you made that happen. We donate $5 per oil change to the Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter, Inc. for the care, medication, and sterilization of the animals.

There are so many cuddly, lonely animals here who need a second chance at being loved. These animals were all surrendered by their owners, brought in as strays, or born due to failure to spay and neuter.

As always, we want to strongly encourage everyone to spay and neuter your pets. All shelters are in crisis and there simply aren't enough proper homes for them all. Adding more animals to the population has devastating consequences.

We want to showcase just a few of the animals available. There are several adorable black kittens, two gorgeous calico sister kittens, orange tabbies, tortis, some barn cats, and lots of dogs available. Can you open your heart and home to any of these? Look at this 1934 Ford Coupe that visited Jimmy's earlier today. It has been completely restored, remodeled, and pimped out by Bedford native Davey Reynolds.

You can check it out in person today from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Bedford County Car Show, 1415 Boxwood Terrace in Bedford.

Some dogs like to play with a stick. Not me! I prefer an entire branch! If you need tree work done, hit me up!

I have a customer who's sweet on me. She gives me kisses and toys. She brought me this pig and I love it. 🐷 Dad thought I'd tear the stuffings out, so he put it on top of the filing cabinet. I've shown him I'm a responsible guy, so I got it back and I carry it around. I also have a stuffed turtle I'm fond of. Even big tough guys like me have a soft side.

Remember to give us a call for State inspections, tires, tune-ups, and all your automotive needs. For every oil change we perform, $5 goes to the Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter. Let's help them out! 🐾

During the month of May we performed 38 oil changes, which gave us $190 to donate to the shelter animals.

Sadly, more and more people are continuing to surrender their pets daily. These are GOOD animals who've done no wrong. They're lost, confused, and grieving for their former owners. It's truly heartbreaking to see these cats and dogs. We showcase some each month in the hopes they'll touch someone and inspire an adoption. We have just a few featured this time due to time constraints, but please know there are so many who are looking for someone who won't let them down again.

The shelter is currently not accepting surrendered cats due to a contagious illness in the cat rooms. The kitties are currently being treated but they need time to recover.

Thank you for your continued patronage at Jimmy's Automotive. You're the reason we're able to send a little help to the shelter animals.

We encourage everyone to spay and neuter ALL pets and to keep in mind, an animal is a lifetime commitment, not a temporary fascination that quickly grows old. These animals have feelings and they grieve the loss of their home the same as you would if you got kicked out.
