A little change of pace from the race track today as we follow our little crew chief in her competition!

Mallory and Penny competed in the Walk/Trot Division and had a great day in the ring. Out of six riders, they finished:

🥉 3rd Place
🥉 3rd Place
🏅 4th Place
🥈 2nd Place

Whether it’s behind the wheel of a race car or in the saddle of a horse, hard work, practice, and confidence pay off. Proud of Mallory for continuing to learn, improve, and have fun every time she competes.

A little progress, a little frustration, and a lot of learning.

We continue to get a tick better each week, and the heat race showed that. For the consi, we made some setup changes trying to race our way into the feature. Unfortunately, we missed our mark and went backwards.

We’ll add it to the notebook, make some adjustments, and get ready for next week.

This week’s agenda takes us back to a track continuously operated by the same family since it opened. Founded by Forrest Rogers in 1963, completely managed by the Rogers family — Grandview Speedway Inc. 🏁

After a productive weekend of learning and making gains, we’re looking to continue building our notebook and improving every time the #28 hits the track.

Grandview Speedway Results

Heat Race: 8th ➡️ 8th

Consi: 10th ➡️ 8th

Unfortunately, we came up just short of qualifying for the feature and loaded up early.

This was our first trip back to Grandview since the season opener, and our main goal was to start building our notebook and get ourselves in position to make a run over the next few weeks. Every adjustment we made throughout the night was right on point, and we learned a lot about what this car wants.

The results may not show it, but we’re encouraged by the progress. Small tweaks and continued seat time will go a long way.

Most importantly, we raced two nights this weekend and loaded the car back in the trailer with zero damage. After the challenges we’ve faced this season, that’s a win in our book. 💙🏁

Big Diamond Speedway Results

Heat Race: 9th ➡️ 7th

Feature: 16th ➡️ DNF

There was some discrepancy with the scoring during the race, and rather than risk tearing up equipment, we made the decision to save our car for Grandview Speedway.

While the results don’t show it, we continue to learn, improve, and build our notebook every time we unload.
