Ian will not die. Ian’s remnants slipped offshore of Virginia and it is setting us up for a classic nor’easter. North wind pushes the water from Albemarle and Pamlico sounds south into the Neuse river, Core and Bogue sounds. Water levels 2-4 ft above high tide. Winds 25-35 mph gust to 50. North winds are not too bad on us here at the “Coolest little marina in Beaufort”, but not a great day to go offshore. These conditions are forecast to persist through Wednesday.
