1970 Plymouth Duster Base

Up for sale here in this sunny desert in El Paso,Texas is this extremely solid 1970 Plymouth Duster !!!! Please read the ENTIRE post on this Duster so you know exactly what you are buying. First of all, let me start by telling you this is an extremely solid car. I could only find a small rust spot the size if 2 quarters on the rear passenger side of the car. As you can tell, the car is not painted or primed so you can see exactly how the body really is. Most people hide the exterior of a car with primer. This is a factory red on red car. This is the most solid car in the Duster line that I have ever seen !!! It had the engine completely rebuilt, bored 30 ove, port and polished head, believed to be the original 225 slant 6. electronic dist.(HEI) ignition,new Hi torque starter, Ho**er hedders with dual exhaust,new 2 barrel carb, new aluminum radiator, new alternator,rebuilt 904 automatic transmission,no breaks, new front shocks, new rebuilt front suspension,new front tires,New gas tank and fuel sending unit and extremely rare Keystone Rogue Aluminum wheels. There is tons of money and hard work already invested in this project car. It is NOT a fully restored car. The car doesn't run because no brakes. You can obviously see the car needs paint and interior. This is not a $35,000.00 Barrett Jackson car. This is a real nice project that can be restored to your liking and have tons of fun with. These cars are real hard to find.My asking price is more than fair. Please look at all the pictures and ask ALL questions PRIOR to buying. 1971 Plymouth Duster

1971 PLUM CRAZY PURPLE DUSTER BODY ORIGINALLY SLANT 6 AUTO BUT NO MOTOR OR TRANS NOW. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT BY A LITTLE OLD AND WAS PUT IN STORAGE IN THE 80'S WHEN SHE STOPPED DRIVING. IT WAS NOT LEFT OUTSIDE LIKE ALOT OF OLD MOPARS. I GUESS THAT'S WHY IT HAS VERY LITTLE RUST FOR AN OLD CAR. THE BODY HAS SOME SCRAPES AND DENTS BUT VERY LITTLE RUST. THE FRAME RAILS LOOK GREAT. THE FLOORS LOOK GOOD EXCEPT ONE SPOT WHERE THE HEATER CORE LEAKED. THE TRUNK PAN WILL NEED SOME WORK BUT NOT BAD AS MOST I HAVE SEEN.THERE IS STILL PURPLE ON THE FLOORS, TRUNK PAN, ETC. THE GUY I GOT IT FROM PULLED THE M/T AND WAS DOING A 340 BUILD BUT LOST STORAGE. I HAVE A CLEAR KY TITLE AND FENDER TAG THAT ALL MATCH THE CAR. CAR WILL NOT LEAVE HERE UNTIL PAID FOR CASH ONLY. ONE OF THE CRAGAR WHEELS IN PIC IS NO LONGER ON THE CAR. THE SEATS ARE STILL IN THE CAR AND SO IS ALL THE DASH AND WIRING . CAR HAS NOT BEEN STRIPPED OF ALL ITS PARTS.

Here is a 1973 plymouth cuda 340 4 speed. Not running and driving the engine turns over at the solenoid the brakes work emergency brake works. The car has 45,000 original miles on the car. Standard dash non console bucket seats. The fender tag rotted off, but have the pieces of the build sheet, that is weathered, but you can read it. The front frame rails torsion bar crossmember is in nice shape. The rear frame rails have a spot on the driver side by the start of the frame rail by the rear foot wells, and the passenger side is soft in the back by the bumper crossmember. I also have the car for sale locally so if the car sells before the auction ends I can end the auction.

if you are looking for a goodcandidate for aEleanor clone or project this is the one. I purchased this car awhile ago from the original owner He had the car sent out and had the bodycompletely redone anddisassembled, in this process he got sick and ended up with the car back in the condition it is in. (The body is finished but the car is not) Iacquiredthe car parked it in my garage with good intentions but I have come to realize I justdon't have the time like I use too. I paida lot of money for the car because I knowwhat a solid fastback is worth and this would be a easy project for someone.
So let me start with the body, this car will not need any body work the body is very straight and it is in excellent shape. Nobody fillerwas used, this was always a Florida car so it is very clean, straight, solid and rust free from the start. It has also never been into anyaccidents, every panel is good andshows no signs of any accidents. Ibelieve all of the body panels areoriginal to the car except the hood which is a brand new steel hood that is still in the box, This hood will go with the car. So if you purchase this car you will not have to do any body work just paint the car. Floor pans, Strut towers, Trunk, frame rails, andtorque Boxes all appear to be very solid and in no need of repair.
So this car was a Original 3 speed manual car, but it has a C6 transmission in the car currently the original 3 speed manual trans will go withthe car when sold as well as a extra set of 390 heads, intake and carb.The Owner saysthe Engine is the correct matching numbers engine but I have not been able toverify that. (The Pedal is still in the car for amanual trans set up)Now the car has not ran in over ten years but it does run, I had it running recently with a gas can and manually putting fuel into the carb.Something is up with the gas tank and I have not had a chance to check into it but it will not suck fuel from the tank so possible bad gas or fuel pump.
When I purchasedthe car I was able to drive it,test the transmission, rear end andbrakes. Everything seemed fine but then it sat for another 4 years in my garage under a cover with ten yearold gas in it so here we are today.
Now as far as the parts I have every single good useable and original part that came off the car, some of it is junk and some of it is good but I am putting everythinginside of the car forthe buyer. I have the glass, seats, interior Pieces, trim, bumpers, chrome, dash pad, dash board, original Cluster, Nuts and bolts, and more...... a truck load of parts of everything that was taken off the car. Like I said even though the parts are there somethings will need to be replaced, a few things may be missing but for the most part you will have everything.
So with all of that being said if your looking for a solid winter project this is one to consider, pretty much it just needsassembly. It will needs some mechanical work so it will run perfect and it will needs some interior and exteriors partsinstalled or Replaced. The gaps on this car are almost perfect. All panels line up beautifully. The car is super straight. Underneath and engine bay have already been painted like an eggshell black. Underneath was stripped and cleaned so its very clean and looks great.

Frame rails front and rear are perfect, engine bay looks perfect. The body is very nice. RUST FREE!

Floor pans were replaced and done professionally. The front floor supports dont have a dent on them anywhere. A torque box was added to the passenger side.

Car was highly optioned from the factory. .

I do not have the original engine or transmission.

The original 9" rear with drain plug is under the car.

I have most all of the interior for the car including the foldown rear seat, trap door, and console.

All seats will need covered.

I have the fog light GT grille that came with the yellow tinted fog lights.

The car had the tailight panel louvers which I have. couple tabs broke off of one and only one broke off on another.

I have all of glass except front windshield.

New interior door panels, I have the gauges.

There are tons of parts. The car is full of parts.

It has a brand new wiring harness in it that still needs to be finished installing.

This is definitely the car that everyone wants. Very nice.

Finish wet Sanding and buffing the car and then start putting parts on it. No rust repair or body work needed.
