A familiar name from Perry Speedway and Genesee Speedwayโ€™s past will once again be part of race night on Saturday, July 11th.

Dick Brown was a two-time Street Stock Track Champion at Perry Speedway, winning titles in 1967 and 1990. After his driving days, Dick continued giving back to the sport by helping Teddy Pierce, Jeremy Denton, and the Wise Guys. Known as one of the true gentlemen of racing, he earned numerous sportsmanship honors throughout his career, including a โ€œMost Courteous Driverโ€ award back in the 1960s.

To honor his memory, Dickโ€™s daughter Jacquie Brown has generously donated $411 to the purse, adding money to 1st, 7th, and 11th place.

Beginning this Saturday night, June 20th, The Dirt Track at Genesee will officially be ๐‹๐ˆ๐•๐„ ๐’๐“๐‘๐„๐€๐Œ๐ˆ๐๐† ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ!

This is something we've been working toward since James and Nicole Gayton took over the track, and we're excited to finally make it a reality. It's a major milestone for our facility and another step forward as we continue to grow and improve the racing experience for both our fans and competitors.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Patricia "Pat" Kemp on Sunday, June 14.

Pat was a familiar face at The Dirt Track at Genesee for many years. As the mother of longtime competitor Tommy Kemp, she was one of racing's most loyal supporters. Even on nights when Tommy wasn't racing, Pat could often be found at the track supporting the sport and the racing community she loved.

Tommy has been a part of our racing family for more than 25 years, competing in multiple divisions throughout his career. Along the way, Pat was always there cheering him on and supporting not only her son, but so many others in the pit area and grandstands.

On behalf of everyone at The Dirt Track at Genesee, we extend our deepest condolences to Tommy, the Kemp family, and all of Pat's friends during this difficult time.

Pat's support, kindness, and presence at the track will be greatly missed.
