This thing is gonna scooot!!

Premium pump, dark blue injectors, 14psi, nice ignition and AVCS cam timing.

2006 wrx, ej205 short block, u20 heads, b25 cams, fresh headgaskets and reseal, rotated turbo kit, 3076 turbo, FMIC, rx8 3.5” MAF housing , full 3” exhaust.

I can’t wait for it to have larger injectors, 255pump and 18-20 psi but that’s for another day, for now this thing should be a blast to drive.

Next project car I’m working on has finally made it on the dyno. This one should be interesting but it’s going to take some work to get it going.

2006 wrx, ej205 short block, u20 heads, b25 cams, fresh headgaskets and reseal, rotated turbo kit, 3076 turbo, FMIC, rx8 3.5” MAF housing , full 3” exhaust.

Its base tune is on dark blue injectors and will be switching to DW 1300 and a 255lph pump for flex fuel.

Stock ECU. It most likely will be tuned completely off the MAF and not a MAF/SD.

Did the first shake down test on the dyno. I need to look into a few issues I noted but overall felt pretty solid.

Started off with conservative timing, stock fuel map, 6psi. Lots to do before this one is done.

I had to directly flash this 06 wrx ecu to get started tuning. When you buy something it’s ideal to make sure the person you bought it from properly uninstalled any devices.

Thankfully the ecus used in this car are pretty
straightforward to do a recovery bench flash.

Ka24e putting in work, honestly did well. Boost creeps up to boost cut of 10psi so I couldn’t get a full pull down but with virtual Road simulation I was able to make sure everything is nice and safe for use.

It should rip pretty hard and be a fun one to drive.

MegasquirtPnp2 by ampefi is the plug and play used.

It’s only on low octane and worked very well, using the dyno and the plex knock monitoring to dial in the timing.

It must be 240 season, 2 within a few days.
One ka24e turbo and a sr20det. Absolutely had a blast working with both of them and seeing the performance differences.

I installed a 3sgte intake on to this 3sfe to see what differences it would make.

The 3sfe intake is a long narrow runner, in theory good for low end torque.

The 3sgte is a little shorter and wider better for top end power.

Oddly enough the gte intake made torque come in faster but still held about the same top end power.

I really enjoy my mustang dyno but the one thing that has bothered me is the clearance between the bottom of some cars and the belt cover on my rear roller. It’s perfectly fine for most cars, but the cars I normally tune like WRX, Civic, Miata really get close. I need to remove the cover exposing the belt to the possibility of damage due to rubbing or heat.

I’m definitely not a fabricator so this took me basically the whole day to do. But I now have a low profile belt cover.
