Virginia Free Fishing Days are this weekend, and there has never been a better time to get outdoors and enjoy the waters of the Commonwealth.

From June 5–7, 2026, anyone can fish in Virginia without a fishing license. Whether you are an experienced angler, introducing a child to fishing for the first time, or simply looking for a reason to spend time with family and friends, this is a great opportunity to enjoy one of Virginia’s favorite outdoor traditions.

Many of our deputies enjoy spending their time off on the water, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this special weekend. Fishing is more than just catching fish, it is about making memories, enjoying the outdoors, and spending quality time with the people who matter most.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to our Community Vendor Event today! Yall really blew it out the park! No pun intended 😜 The support for the park and all the local businesses and vendors was amazing. Today was full of good food, talented vendors, awesome local businesses and lots of fun! We are so grateful for all of you and hope to see you again in the fall! 🤩🤩
