DONT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!

This should be the motto for some do it yourself mechanics.

Each week I get a job or two where you can tell someone has had what your working on apart and something is either messed up or missing. WARNING the internet is an awesome tool but with any tool you need to have general all around knowledge before you use it. The user needs to watch the video several times before attempting the job then if you have several questions you may not want to proceed. Something as simple as an oil change can go terribly wrong. The gaskett from the last filter was still in the groove, causing the new one not to seal. This left for any lenght of time and the car blows up because of no oil. Customer had not noticed the oil leaking for a couple of days.

Hopefully not too many more days of below freezing temps for us. The pic below shows what you should see when you open your resivor or radiator cap. I know some use straight water and as long as temps stay above 32 degrees they think their ok, well you also use antifreeze as a coolant. Come on by and see us and we will get you back to the right levels. Tip dont buy 50/50 waste of money you are buying water, buy full strenght and mix it yourself. www.shadetreeautorepair.com
