Barrington Motor Works was founded in 1999 by Chris and Barbara Betjemann. Their goal was to share their knowledge and skills gained from 40 years of riding and wrenching with the vintage BMW motorcycle community by offering high level restorations and services. After close to 10 years restoring and servicing vintage BMW motorcycles the Betjemanns undertook the project of compiling all they had le

arned from the work performed at Barrington Motor Work into a comprehensive manual for BMW R50-69US. With input from others the first Barrington Motor Works R50-R69US Restoration and Service Manual was born. Since its inception Barrington Motor Works has been leading the way to bring knowledge and skill to the vintage BMW motorcycle community. Now in early 2019 ownership of Barrington Motor Works has been passed on to long time friend and employee, Andrew “Ande” Kahora. After attending motorcycle-specific technical training for two years, Ande worked for BMW dealerships for five years. Having worked for Barrington Motor Works for several years, Ande has refined his knowledge and skills with vintage BMW motorcycles and will continue to offer the high level of quality work for which Barrington Motor Works has become known.

Our BMW MOA 2026 rally has ended....it was a fun time filled with bikes, BBQ, bourbon, friends, oppressive heat, tropical rain storms, and sleeping under the stars.

We are headed up to VT next week to attend the National Rally! We will be representing Barrington Motor Works, Airhead Misfits, the 247 Podcast, and bringing a few vintage race bikes owned by our buddy Don for the custom show.

It's gonna be a hell of a good time! Come find us, grab some free stickers, buy some merchandise, and talk to us about what engine oil your bike should use!
