Looking to add to our team! 👀

McLeod’s Spring & Chassis in Barre is looking for two new people to join our crew:

🔧 Automotive/Truck Technician — We’re looking for someone mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working independently. Someone who’s a self-starter, takes pride in their work, and can keep themselves moving without needing constant direction. Truck/heavy-duty experience is a plus!

🛠️ Counter Sales / Parts — Looking for someone good with people, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and ideally has some automotive/truck or parts knowledge. You’ll be helping customers, answering phones, looking up parts, writing up jobs, and keeping things moving at the counter.

For both positions, we’re really looking for someone reliable who shows up, works hard, takes initiative, and wants to be part of the team.

Full-time | Pay based on experience

📣 We'll be closing early today and will be closed tomorrow as we celebrate America's 250th birthday!

Our crew has been cranking through this heat, and we're looking forward to them getting a well-deserved long weekend with their families.

I got a phone call this morning that will stick with me for a long time.

A customer called after we worked on his truck. It was his second visit with us this year, and he spent over 20 minutes telling me about his experience.

He lives nearly two hours away and said he happily left his house at 5 AM to make a 7 AM appointment here. Better yet, he said he'd do it again and again whenever he needs work done.

Sure, hearing that his truck drives so well, he's been taking the long way home just to enjoy it was pretty awesome.

But what really got me was everything else he noticed.

He sat in our waiting room while we worked on his truck. He listened to the conversations at the counter. He watched the interactions between our team and our customers. He saw our family dynamic. His words? It was refreshing. No drama. No nonsense. Just good people doing good work.

He went out of his way to compliment John at the counter, Tia on her alignment work, RC on the repairs, and even mentioned how much he loved seeing a female technician in the shop.

By the end of the call, I had tears in my eyes.

The path that led me here probably didn't make much sense on paper. But mornings like this remind me exactly why I did it.

I grew up watching my Dad (and Uncle) build this place. I watched the way they treated people, the pride they took in the work, and the culture they created. I always wanted to be a part of continuing that.

Sometimes you're so busy with work that you don't realize what people see from the outside.

Today, someone reminded me.

And for that, I'm grateful.

To our crew: thank you. What you do matters. People notice.

And to our customers: thank you for trusting us, driving the extra miles, and reminding us why we do what we do.
