🌧️ HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO OUR AREA? Stay Safe on the Roads! 🚗
Rain doesn’t just make driving harder—it can make stopping and steering much more dangerous.
Here are a few tips to keep your family safe:
✅ Slow down. Wet roads reduce tire traction and increase stopping distance.
✅ Turn on your headlights. It helps other drivers see you, even during the daytime.
✅ Leave extra space. Give yourself at least 5-6 seconds between vehicles when roads are wet.
✅ Avoid cruise control. You need full control of your vehicle during rainy conditions.
✅ Watch for standing water. Just a few inches can cause hydroplaning and loss of control.
✅ Check your tires. Worn tires are one of the biggest contributors to hydroplaning.
💡 Quick Tire Test:
If your tires are worn enough that you can see the top of Lincoln’s head when placing a penny upside down into the tread, it may be time for replacement.
