It's that season again! No, not THAT season (yet), but tire season. Arguably the single most important safety item on your vehicle for winter driving. What we offer:
-No gimmicky pricing. Let's face it, the marketing folks at the big box stores and mass merchandisers have crafty ways of enticing people into sales. We give bottom line, out-the-door pricing each time. Compare apples to apples when shopping pricing, and you will find that we are VERY competitive in a competitive market. However, there is much more than just pricing involved:
-First, beware the high price of a low cost. The overall cost of ownership of a set of tires is more involved than the initial price. Tire quality, timely rotations, proper installation, proper balancing and proper wheel alignment are factors.
-Expert tire installation. Aluminum wheels certainly have their issues - corrosion where the bead seats being the biggest, causing pesky bead leaks. For the better part of 20 years, our proprietary wheel prep procedure has all but eradicated this pesky issue. Each wheel gets this done @ no extra charge. Black bead sealer? Nope. That's a horrible product left over from a different century that actually causes/accelerates problems.
-Expert balancing. Before the new tire even reaches the balancer, our guys perform a preliminary procedure on the tire installation machine called bead massaging. This helps to fully seat the beads properly, ensuring consistent and the best balancing possible. And then it's on to the balancer - our state-of-the-art Hunter Engineering Road Force balancer ferrets out any initial manufacturing defects, which can lead to noticeable and aggravating vibrations, all before the vehicle is delivered back to you. Again, all at no extra charge. Ironically, back when we would "work behind" other shops w/o Road Force balancers (something we refuse to do anymore), what we found were predominantly "regular" balancing issues and not Road Force balancing issues. "We don't have that $35,000 machine, take it to B&H and we will pay them to straighten it out for us". Nope, not anymore. And sadly, what we were finding many times were basic dynamic balancing 101 issues, something that either improperly trained help or poorly maintained equipment that needed attention were causing.
-Expert wheel alignments. It's no secret that properly aligned vehicles give your tires the best fighting chance. Our experience pays off here too. 1000's of successful wheel alignments performed by the same guys for MANY years! And one indicator of a proper wheel alignment starts with the alignment rack itself. It a shop's wheel alignment rack looks like it's from the 1950's or it hasn't been cleaned since the last ice age, chances are very high that your alignment is not as good as it could be or should be. We offer a complementary alignment check on every new tire purchase, and we will let you if adjustments are needed.
-Expert hub and wheel fl**ge prep. Each and every wheel fl**ge and vehicle hub gets cleaned and lubed so bad problems are avoided. We often see other shop's try to contract their way out of bad workmanship or improperly trained techs by making you sign a document saying that you will return in x amount of miles to have your lug nuts retorqued or they are not responsible for their poor workmanship(!). Yikes. Did you ever wonder why if you buy a new vehicle this isn't required? Everything is clean and torqued properly. And that how we do it too.
