🏁Announcing the BUD LUNSFORD memorial race, Saturday, June 4th at Toccoa Raceway!!!!

We are honored to put on a memorial race for Bud, as we considered him a dear friend and learned so much from him throughout his many years of racing and promoting.

We are super excited to announce we have added the National Vintage Racing Association to this event! Those racers always put on a great show and are a fan favorite!

You don't want to miss this special night of racing as we remember one of the best to ever race on dirt, one of Georgia's own racing legends!

1985 when Buck Simmons won the NDRA race at the Kingsport Speedway

" Do you "Buck Simmons" remember the race at Metrolina Speeday in Charlotte back around 1974-75 when Freddy Smith pulled along side you out of the 4th turn. There was a slower car in front of you and it looked like 00 had you passed for the lead. You never cracked the gas as you clipped the slower car and your car when up on two wheels. You never cracked the gas and beat 00 to the first turn. I remember it well and can still see it in my mind today. Never seen anything like that. For me after that, if Buck Simmons is in a race anywhere near, I want to see it. "
