Born and raised in northern Cal my interest in cars has been there ever since i was born, my folks took me to the Grand national roadster show every yr as far back as i can remember. i was always drawn to the white walled kustoms i built kustom model cars for yrs. In high school i was turned on to subway art (graffiti) abstract lettering mixed with cartooning. Honed my art skills on walls and buses pretty much any big smooth surface! Got my first old ride in 85, a 59 ford fairlane with no money and even less experience i started out on what would eventually bring me here. a short stint in mini trucking and bugs i was back on old rides about 89-90. That's when it really took off. meeting Gary Minor, Bill Reasnor, Krazy Keith Adamo, Von Franco. Rod Powell, Real Ralph Newman i went from wanting to build kustoms to slowly actually building them. Became one of only a handful of nor cal memebers i was accepted into the Lucky Devils CC one of the first all traditional kustom car clubs. Leaving that to co found the Road Zombies in Nor Cal that grew to be the biggest traditional CC in the bay area, moving to AZ prompted a change and started a new club the Checs another traditional car club with chapters in 5 states. that club was special as it was known for drivers we drove all over the western US in kustom cars. in AZ is where i started to actual build cars as a living in about 2000 moving to Bakersfield i late 04 i started Diablo Artwerks which morphed into Diablos House of Style after the one and only Larry Watson to use the 'House of Style'. Larry Watson was and is a HUGE influence in what i do. My intention is not to leave MY mark on the kustom world but rather to pay homage to the builders and styles of what was the most amazing golden era of car culture. Each facet of the kustom world, paint, body, fab, striping, art has its own influences and stories to put them all down here would take yrs haha so maybe ill just tell a story as time goes on so people can see where i come from and where im going.
