I remember.

The shop has been open just a couple of years at the time.

I had just dropped the kids off at school and had returned home to get ready for work.

I was watching channel 4 news with Tim Ryan as he reported the 1st plane that flew into the first building.

As we were watching it live, the second plane flew into the second building.

I remember confusion, fear, sadness, and my mother instincts kicked in. I did not pick the kids up, but I fought the urge. I understand a lot of parents pulled their kids out that day.

The idea of an enemy and that people truly hate us became real that day.

Never forget.
