Round 2 For Triple J Transfer, Thank Y’all so Much for the Opportunity ! This Proper 389 is headed to the Vegas LargeCar Invitational next week in the infield of Las Vegas Motor Speedway as part of the NASCAR Race weekend. We couldn’t be more excited to have are work showcased at such a cool event considering everyone in the shop loves all kinds of racing !!
For this build, we kicked things off with a full 3-step polish on all that Legendary Red paint bringing it back to a deep, mirror finish after years of heavy truck wash scratches.
Next up was the body drop, along with an engine freshen up to clean up the engine bay. From there, we turned our attention to the frame: countersinking and metal-finishing over 65+ bolts to give the rails a completely smooth, shaved look. We cleaned up the cali hookup area straight through to the front bumper, then laid down a super slick coat of Legendary Gray across the entire frame, suspension, and drivetrain.
For the deck plates, we heavily modified the front section to integrate a flush-mount toolbox with a hidden latch, added a custom cover for the connection box, and built a fresh rear deck plate section—all finished in Legendary Gray.
We even cleaned and painted the underside of the billet 5th wheel for that extra touch. Finished everything off with a fresh set of Hogebuilt fenders!
Moving back forward, we installed new fuel tanks with aviation caps, then sandblasted and sprayed both the air and fuel tanks plus the backside of the front bumper in Legendary Red to tie the whole color scheme together.we also added some crazy nice SS complete battery boxes .
Finally, we wrapped up the build with custom hand pinstriping on the deck plate and rear bumper to go with the original pinstriping on the body laid down by Lady Lines Pinstriping back in ’22.
This truck is packed with subtle custom details that truly shine in person. We are super happy how insanely clean This one came out, and we can’t wait for JB to show it off out west!
