PORSCHE ON PORTIMAO POLE ☝️🇵🇹

The No.2 Boutsen VDS Porsche claimed overall pole for the final GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup round of the 2026 season.

Schuring, Boccolacci, and Picariello combined to set a 1:42.071, just a tenth faster than the No.17 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG in a Qualifying order that sees 29 cars within a second after three combined sessions.

Spa 24H winners LionSpeed GP claimed third on the grid, with the No.3 Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG in P15 after a difficult session.

The No.71 Selected Car Racing Ferrari claimed pole as the ‘Other Dane Train’ look to chase down the Gold Endurance Cup-leading ROWE Racing BMW.

Ford scored Silver Cup pole, the No.65 half a second off the overall pole and P13 in the overall order.

Bronze Cup pole went the way of No.991 Paradine Competition BMW as team owner Darren Leung offers a competitive time before flying back to Barcelona for WEC LMGT3 Qualifying tomorrow morning.

Team Penske, which previously competed in the WEC with the Porsche 963, is looking for a way back to the world stage so owner Roger Penske can once again fight for a first overall Le Mans 24 Hours win.

The plan would be to run alongside the existing Hertz Team JOTA Cadillacs.
