Our plan was to work only to noon on Christmas Eve, but we got a call on the 23rd from a local woman who had her windshield "smacked" hard by a large chunk of ice from a semi-trailer. She was lucky to not get injured. We squeezed her into the schedule because she really needed her vehicle, and we were happy to help her holidays be a little less stressful.

What a beautiful summer-like day in October to install 3 windshields simultaneously here at Austin Windshield Plus. Also pictured is our star Lead Technician, Austin J. Bright. He's been here around 2 1/2 years and is not only a kind, hardworking young man, he is a true friend indeed!

*** It's ANNIVERSARY time - we officially started our 13th year at Austin Windshield Plus, on June 1st, 2025. Some of my favorite mobile jobsite photos over the years are of the animals I have met at people's houses & farms. Please enjoy them!

QUESTION: What is the definition of ADAS? ANSWER: Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems. They are technologies that assist drivers with the safe operation of a vehicle. One such system involves a forward-facing camera attached to the inside of the windshield. Depending on the manufacturer, it is usually referred to as a Lane Departure Warning System, or Lane Keep Assist, or Forward Collision Alert ...etc... - Because manufacturers require these cameras to be re-calibrated to the original settings after a windshield replacement, Austin Windshield Plus invested in the AUTEL MA600 recalibration system in 2022. With laser systems, specific measurements, target boards, and make & model specific software, we are able to achieve this process for your vehicle, if so equipped. - We like to say: CALL US FIRST!
