My dear customer, Ruby Taylor, passed away last week, March 31st. She was a week away from her 104th birthday. She was such a joy to listen to, and as you can imagine, had a very positive attitude about everything. She was proud of this car that her husband bought just before he passed away, and felt it was her duty to take care of it--so it would take care of her! Rest in peace, Ruby. I know you are happy to be with Mr. Taylor again!

Sunday, April 8, customer Ruby Taylor will mark her 90th birthday. Ruby's '86 Ta**us is in remarkable shape, as is she! Despite her 90 years, Ruby stays young by being active. Note the sign on her car. She's a volunteer "Providing transportation for older adults".

Another sad moment, learning of the loss of another customer who brought smiles everywhere she went. Jere Davis, and her (then) young son, Gus, were regular visitors in my shop when it was still on Burnet Road, during the 1990's. The smile in her photo is the same as I always remembered her. Prayers for Gus, and all of Jere's family,

Heartfelt sympathy to Roger Broz & family, on the passing of his father, Warren Broz. Most of you know my business began on Burnet Road late in 1989, when Austin still had several family owned auto service and repair shops. One greatly respected one nearby was Broz Automotive. Warren would bring his customers' cars to me when they needed tires, and before I started doing inspections, I took my customers' cars to him for that service. And we collaborated when we needed help solving a car problem. When Warren stepped aside to turn the business over to his sons, we continued the practice, and maintained that relationship with Roger, who eventually took over the business. Warren's age, background, work ethic, and commitment to his customers reminded me of my own dad! I have thought of the Broz family many times since having left that neighborhood. RIP, Warren!
