Ever wonder why you’re only supposed to charge your EV to 80%?

It’s more intricate than you think. It comes down to lithium ions, battery chemistry, and how your battery handles charging as it approaches 100%.

Understanding battery degradation could save you thousands in replacement costs.

And if your EV battery ever needs replacing, Greentec Auto offers a more affordable alternative to the dealership.

3 tips to help protect your EV battery and keep it healthy for longer!

⚡ 1. Avoid charging to 100% every night. For daily driving, aim for around 80% unless you need the extra range.

🔥 2. Don’t overuse Supercharging. Fast charging generates more heat, so use it when needed and stick to slower charging when practical.

🛡️ 3. Check your insurance coverage. Your EV battery is one of the most expensive components of your vehicle. Make sure you understand what your policy covers!

Taking care of your battery today can help protect your investment for years to come. 🚗🔋

🇺🇸 The next national security battle may not be fought on a battlefield.

It could be fought over the minerals needed to build the technology behind our modern economy.

From AI and semiconductors to EVs, robotics, aerospace, and defense, critical minerals are becoming one of the most important strategic resources in the world.

And when a country relies heavily on foreign supply chains for materials it cannot easily replace, that dependence becomes a vulnerability.

The race for critical minerals, domestic manufacturing, energy independence, and resilient supply chains is already underway.

The question is: Can America secure the resources it needs to build the technologies of the future?

Follow for more on critical minerals, energy, EVs, technology, and the future of American manufacturing.

What happens to a Prius battery module after it powers a vehicle for years? 🔋♻️

Its journey doesn’t end when the battery fails. From manufacturing to powering a vehicle, and eventually repair, reuse, or recycling, every module has the potential for a second life.

At Greentec Auto, we’re helping reshape the future of hybrid battery sustainability by keeping valuable materials in circulation and reducing waste. From rebuilt batteries to recycled materials, the real value of a battery doesn’t end when its first life does.

♻️ One module. Multiple lives. A more sustainable future.

We’ve replaced 100,000+ hybrid & EV batteries over 16 years. Here are 4 things we’ve learned 👇

🔥 1. HEAT KILLS BATTERIES
Hot climates can accelerate hybrid battery degradation.

🐶 2. PET HAIR CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS
A clogged battery cooling vent = less airflow = more heat.

🚗 3. DON’T LET IT SIT FOR MONTHS
Extended inactivity can accelerate battery degradation.

💰 4. DON’T ASSUME THE DEALERSHIP IS YOUR ONLY OPTION
Hybrid battery replacement can cost significantly less outside the dealership.

Which one did you NOT know? 👇

What does the Critical Materials Crossroads mean for Kansas City? 🇺🇸

The goal is to bring critical-materials production back to the U.S.—especially the midstream processes that are currently heavily dependent on foreign supply chains.

That means building capabilities right here in Kansas City around:

⚙️ Refining
🧪 Purification
🔬 Extraction & recovery
🔩 Metalization
🏭 Commercialization & manufacturing

The CMC is bringing together partners from across the country and around the world to drive R&D, entrepreneurship, commercialization, investment, and ultimately thousands of new jobs.

The potential economic impact? Up to $40 billion in economic output.

This is about building a stronger domestic supply chain, creating opportunity, and positioning Kansas City as a hub for the critical materials industry.

🇺🇸 The future of critical materials is being built here.
