When you sold your last car… did you file a Report of Sale?

Here’s something a LOT of people don’t realize:

While it’s true that the buyer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their name, the seller is responsible for filing a proper Report of Sale.

If you don’t file it properly, that vehicle can still come back on YOU.

▪️ You need the buyer’s FULL name and FULL address
▪️ It releases you from liability if the vehicle is impounded or gets traffic camera tickets
▪️ You have 5 days to file it in WA
▪️ Can be done online or in person at the DOL
▪️ Important to keep a record for yourself once filed

It’s a common mistake - avoid the headache later.
