So excited to announce that the Customer of the Month for July is Russell Poland.

Russell is a special man. I was going to highlight what a great man and friend he is—how he’s a great listener, encouraging, a ravenous fried chicken and French fry eater, wise in counsel, and kind—but I want to talk about him as a husband, because I believe that’s the litmus test for who a man is, and it’s also what sets him apart.

He is a happy provider, protector, and priest of the home, but still has the humility to know that he has to be present and do all the things a father and husband should do. I often see husbands major in one area but minor in another, and sometimes it’s because of entitlement, leaving the wife with a heavy load that’s too hard to bear.

But that’s not Russell. He cares. He doesn’t see his wife as subservient, but as an equal, and he credits her for who he became as a man. He is willing to sacrifice and yield.

One thing about him is that he is always going to speak highly of his wife. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a conversation with him where he didn’t give some kind of honor to his wife. There’s a verse in Ephesians 5 that tells husbands to love their wives as Jesus loves the church, washing her with the water of His Word so that He may present her as set apart, without blemish.

Russ exemplifies that. In our conversations, he never fails to use his words for his wife in the same way Jesus uses His words for His bride—edifying, gracious, and full of honor. He never fails to present her as set apart and without flaw in the same way… you get it.

I’m thankful to have met such an incredible man, and I’m thankful that I’ve had the pleasure of learning from his example for years.

Super excited to announce that Yajaira Cabrera is our Customer of the Month! I do have favorites, and she’s definitely one of them. Favorites may change because we’re human—but her spot is solidified.

One criteria for Customer of the Month is a person’s heart, and hers was on full display the second time I ever met her.

I made a really unprofessional mistake. First, I let myself be persuaded (not by her) to do a ceramic coating off-site for the first time. On too of that the vehicle had just been painted so I thought it would be easy but the painters left sandmarks🤦🏿‍♂️. It caused a huge delay .. Then, the next day, my 5- and 7-year-old nephew and niece were dropped off to stay with me for a week after traveling from out of state. To finish the job, I had no choice but to bring them back with me. Hoping they could just wait in the van….but kids.

But instead of being frustrated, she showed an incredible amount of grace—the kind that changes you and makes you want to extend that same grace to others.

She invited my nephew and niece into her home, fed them, let them watch TV, and cared for them. I can’t imagine anything a customer could do that would top that.

Since then, she has consistently been kind, flexible, encouraging, and uplifting. She is simply set apart. She’s also an amazing grandmother to the most adorable grandkids.I truly value people who stand out because of their character. They’re the kind of people who make you better simply by knowing them.

I’m incredibly grateful to have Yajaira as a customer. Thank you for being such a blessing to me and to everyone around you. You are deeply appreciated.
