Other Projects
When we aren’t working on customer cars or the 911 Turbo restoration. We love to work around the house and love to rescue cats from rough situations. Over the years we have saved 300-400 cats most of which we found new families to love them. This passion of ours has been around almost as long as the shop. Which is why we hold it very close to our heart. So, you may start to see pictures of projects around the house and our furry feline friends.

The New Shop
When the time presented itself, we had to build a new shop. Our main owner and mechanic Brian Copans did the assembly of the new shop himself with a little assistance from a giant fork lift. As the builders never showed up, which is why we did it ourselves. After Brian had worked on it for a few days the builders actually showed up. Once they arrived, they tried to take over without using the blueprints. Which would have resulted in issues had they built the shop. So, in the end it worked out for the best.

Enough Excitement for Awhile
After the exciting Thunder Hill attempt by Flying Lizard it’s time to take a break from all the excitement. As we’ve definitely put our time in fretting over transmissions finishing races. Most races over the years we typically were fixing the work of someone else so that drivers could finish the race. These were definitely the type of days we lived for back then.

A Bit of Luck
It took some luck, but our practice box survived through overheating the last 4 hours they had to back off their lap time to keep it from going nuclear melt down. They maintained a fast-enough lap time to keep their lead. The race provided quite a bit of excitement while watching everything unfold. In the end we were very satisfied with the performance of the practice box we had built. We hope you consider bringing your transmission to us in the future for the same quality of service.

A Follow Up to the Last Post
We just wanted to take a second and recognize Tommy and the gang. As he has always done a phenomenal job planning and assembling of 996/997 race cars. At the risk of brown-nosing Tommy, we believe his knowledge of available parts and systems for all the 996/997 version race cars is remarkable. If you ever need to know what works on what car, Tommy knows the answer. Which makes him a great resource if you own one of these models.

Excitement Around the Shop
This past November we built a practice box for Flying Lizards 25th Thunder Hill attempt. The plan was for us to build a race box that they would install before the race. But do to unforeseen weather the box didn’t reach them in time. So, they used the practice box we built to win the race overall in a 2010 era 997 GT3 cup car that Tommy and the gang built.

A new project in the shop!
Here soon we are planning to start a restoration project on a 1984 Porsche Carrera Turbo that was fire damaged. This car has had quite the life, from street to track to a fire damaged car. Our goal is to make it into an Outlaw 911. We are hoping you will enjoy following the restoration process.

Expanding Our Horizons
Recently we have been working on more than transmissions. Most days you will see several gearboxes and Porsches in the shop. We recently had a 1985 Porsche 944 in the shop. It’s been interesting to see how well it’s aged. It’s a true testament to the quality of our beloved Porsches. Feel free to share pictures of your classic Porsches with us!
