🚗 **Step-by-Step: Programming a Transmission on a 2018 GMC Acadia Using ACDelco TDS**

Programming a transmission isn’t just “plug it in and click go.” You need the right setup, stable voltage, and the correct GM software access. Here’s the basic process:

1️⃣ **Set up your battery maintainer**
Before anything, connect a quality battery maintainer. Low voltage during programming can damage modules.

2️⃣ **Log in to ACDelco TDS**
Go to the ACDelco TDS website, sign in, and make sure you have an active SPS programming subscription.

3️⃣ **Connect your J2534 device**
Plug your approved J2534 pass-thru device into the vehicle and your laptop.

4️⃣ **Turn ignition on**
Key on, engine off. Make sure accessories are off.

5️⃣ **Open SPS programming**
Select the vehicle:
**2018 GMC Acadia**
Then choose the correct transmission/control module programming option.

6️⃣ **Follow the on-screen prompts**
ACDelco TDS will walk you through the calibration download and programming process. Do not unplug anything or turn the key off unless instructed.

7️⃣ **Complete setup and relearns**
After programming, follow any required setup, clearing codes, and transmission relearn procedures.

8️⃣ **Road test and verify**
Check for codes, confirm shifting operation, and make sure the repair is complete.

⚠️ **Important:** Transmission programming should be done by a qualified technician with the proper equipment. One wrong step can cause module failure or drivability issues.
