Wildlife on the Parkway

🦌 The Blue Ridge Parkway isn’t just about scenery—it’s also a haven for wildlife.
From wild turkeys strutting across the road to white-tailed deer grazing near the tree line, the Parkway gives you a chance to see nature up close (from the safety of a Jeep, of course!).

Keep your eyes open for:
🦋 Butterflies fluttering through wildflower fields
🐦 Birds of prey soaring overhead
🐿️ Chipmunks, squirrels, and the occasional black bear

Early mornings and late afternoons are prime wildlife-viewing times, and our guides know where the animals like to hang out. We don’t feed or disturb them, but it’s a thrill every time we spot a creature out in the wild.

And don’t worry—we keep our distance while keeping you close to the action.
📸 Bring a camera and a zoom lens if you have one—you never know who might cross your path.

Asheville’s Music Heritage – From Bluegrass to Buskers 🎻 Asheville’s musical roots run deep, from traditional Appalachian bluegrass to today’s vibrant downtown busking scene.

The city has long been a magnet for folk artists, banjo pickers, and fiddlers who carry on the sounds of the Southern mountains. But today, it’s just as easy to hear jazz, funk, and indie rock echoing down Broadway or Biltmore Avenue.
Don’t miss the Friday night drum circle at Pritchard Park—an Asheville tradition that turns the city into a rhythmic celebration.

Soco Falls 🌈 Tucked just off Highway 19 between Maggie Valley and Cherokee, Soco Falls is a hidden twin waterfall—two beautiful streams cascading into one deep ravine. There’s a viewing platform, but adventurous folks can climb down (carefully!) for a better photo angle.

It’s less crowded than other falls and delivers a double punch of beauty. Morning light makes the mist dance, and after a rain? Even more impressive.

Cataloochee Valley Backroads – Wildlife Wonderland 🦌 Just outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park lies Cataloochee Valley, a lesser-known gem known for its elk herds and preserved homesteads.
Our Off-Road Backroads Tour takes the longer, rugged route in—through winding gravel roads, deep forests, and creekside curves. You’ll emerge into a historic Appalachian settlement where elk graze freely and the past feels alive.
It’s a full-senses journey through time, nature, and elevation.

Asheville’s Railway Era 🚂 When the railroad arrived in 1880, it changed everything for Asheville.
Suddenly, this quiet mountain town was connected to the rest of the country—bringing tourists, health seekers, architects, and investors. Hotels sprang up, neighborhoods grew, and Asheville became a resort town with high society appeal.
Today, you can still trace this history through preserved depots and architecture inspired by the Golden Age of rail.

Bhramari Brewing – Flavor Without Limits 🐝 Located near the South Slope, Bhramari Brewing specializes in bold, experimental beers with culinary flair.
Their Hive Mind DIPA and Lorelai Blonde Ale are always popular, but it’s their ever-changing limited releases—brewed with things like basil, peaches, or toasted coconut—that steal the show.
Our guests love the creative energy here—and the beer garden is a vibe all its own.
