Shamrock hillclimb was such a fun event even though I was only able to get in 1 run. That run was good enough to bring home 3rd place in Outlaw Class and 14th overall and started knocking half way through the run.

Another very fun weekend with Highlands Sports Car Club. A little disappointing for me after the kart decided it’s time for another engine. This is engine #3 if anyone knows where there’s a reasonably priced gen1 ecoboost let me know. For now I’m going to piece together an engine from all my previously blown engines and try to get this thing back on the road for Shamrock hill climb this coming weekend!

Another really fun day with . The ecoboost Miata kart was once again a hit… AND well I hit some cones. Thanks to all my fellow club officers for putting in the work to make these events possible.

Enjoy a trailing cam video of the ecoboost miata kart at flag rock hill climb. Big thanks to everyone that has helped to get this car up the mountain. ,

Enjoy my fastest run from Flag Rock hill climb located in Norton VA. Another amazing weekend with . It started out a little rough with the weather conditions. We had rain, lightning and bears to contend with Saturday. Due to all that a lot of people only got one run including me. But by the end of the day I was sitting on top of the timing chart but knew that wouldn’t last. Wound up with a 5th overall finish my PB at Flag Rock. The kart wound up developing an alignment / steering issue which I’ll have to figure out but man it was fast. The ford ecoboost is plenty of engine and can’t wait until the next race to really test it. Thanks to my wonderful family that I couldn’t do this without and sponsors as well as customers! , 9 lives racing, phillstireservice and trackdaytire

Finally decided to bite the bullet and do a tear down on one of the three ecoboosts that I’ve bought for the kart. This one had decent compression and just had a leaky head-gasket and rear main seal. Wound up cleaning up nicely. Maybe I’ll get some use out of this one.

Finally made it to pine hill! Season opener for the . The cart has been quite an adventure to get it here from just a roller to a race car in 4 months. Engine is a 2.0 ford ecoboost, transmission from a 2012 nc miata and the factory Torsen.

What an amazing event with Highlands Sports Car Club. Record turnout for Franklin NC with 79 racers. I can’t say enough about how great our officers are and how smooth the event went.

This was the second event for the ecoboost kart also the second engine and turbo. This time it didn’t get pushed on the trailer to leave it left with all four cylinders and its first FTD! It also got its tech stamp to go hill climb and time trial racing!

For those that haven’t heard my spec sheet yet. It’s a 2.0 ford ecoboost out of a ford fusion. Precision 5858 and manifold from CP-E. JEM sport ecu and wiring harness. 2012 nc miata 6 speed and the rest is either 1990 miata or custom fab by me. Oh and painted by my beautiful wife Krystal!
