Home Plate Motors We have many years experience in the car business and customer relations. Experience equals quality. We focus on making long lasting relationships!

We enjoy the excitement the car buying experience provides to each customer. Drive One Home Today! Home Plate Motors evolved from the Strider Legacy of the automobile business. In 1970 Donald Strider started Southside Auto sales. For 21 years Donald ran a very successful used car business. In 1991 Donald was able to become a partner at the Buick GMC Subaru dealership. In 1999 Donald decided to open a satellite used car lot. So, he opened Second Chance Auto Sales which was located at the original location of South Side Auto Sales. In 2000 Toby Strider joined his father in the family business. In the mid 2000’s the Strider’s opened additional used lots in both Denton and Randleman. In 2012 the name Second Chance was changed to Home Plate. There are two things that Donald and Toby are very passionate about and that is used cars and sports. Hence the name Home Plate. When a runner crosses Home Plate they immediately feel excitement and success. In our world we hope that every customer that purchases a used vehicle from us will have a feeling of excitement and success.

The 7th Inning Stretch
Blessed Sunday morning Stretchers, praying for a day filled with worship and rest. Thankful for all the Ministers/Pastors who serve the Lord. Let’s continue to pray for those whom God has called and sent. We tend to hold Pastors to a higher standard but I believe we should help Pastors to a high standard. This all starts with prayer. Lord have Thine own way! 1 Peter 5:1-5, “To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility towards one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.”
Be the Blessing, Pastor Rick McCranie
