Berg Werks in Appleton is seeking a automotive technician specializing in maintenance, general repair and performance of Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes and Porsche. We are an enthusiast driven shop, we enjoy and appreciate these vehicles and we expect the same from our team
Business hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30am-5 pm, however we are flexible for the right candidate if they desired to work outside standard hours.
Types of jobs you should be able to perform include but not limited to: Tire mounting/balancing/repair, brakes, cv joints/boots, factory scheduled services, struts/shocks/spring replacement, suspension bushings, wheel bearings, timing belt/chain service, drivability concern diagnosis, abs/engine control/electrical system diagnosis
This position would initially be on a contract/as needed basis, but has rapid potential to become full time. There is also potential for upward growth as skills are further developed and applied. Hours, compensation and benefits are negotiable and dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities
-Perform work as outlined on repair order proficiently, in accordance with and factory and industry standards
-Visually inspect and make recommendations to repair and maintain customer vehicles
-Document repairs, assist in building estimates and billing parts
-Keep work area clean and organized
-Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicle during service
-Quality check after repairs are made, road test and visual inspection
Qualifications
-2+ years of technician experience in a dealership or independent repair facility, European specialty desired
-Basic set of metric tools
-State inspection license preferred
-Valid drivers license required
