Hello everyone! I know it's a little late for a post...but we needed to let everyone know that as we do do free estimates, we have changed that to "with the exception of hail damage". Since there is no longer very many adjusters out to do these, it takes more time to complete these estimates considering you are pretty much doing the complete vehicle. We will be charging $75.00 per vehicle estimate in cash only. However, we will deduct that amount from your final bill if we do the complete job for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to call, e-mail or pm us.

Please share to get the word out....Thank you ahead of time.

~TUESDAY'S TIPS & INFORMATION~

*Dealing with Speeding and Aggressive Drivers*

Speeding behavior and aggressive drivers may not only affect the speeder—it can also affect other drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Here are some tips for encountering speeders on the road:

-If you are in the left lane and someone wants to pass, move over and let them by.

-Give speeding drivers plenty of space. Speeding drivers may lose control of their vehicle more easily.

-Adjust your driving accordingly. Speeding is tied to aggressive driving. If a speeding driver is tailgating you or trying to engage you in risky driving, use judgment to safely steer your vehicle out of the way.

-Call the police if you believe a driver is following you or harassing you.

~TUESDAY'S TIPS & INFORMATION~

If you lock yourself out of your truck:

Most people think that breaking that middle glass on a slider back glass is the cheapest way to go. In reality, it is usually the most expensive. On older trucks, you may be able to get that middle glass. But on most newer model trucks, you have to buy the complete back glass. Which will cost you more.

Example: Labor not included.

2017 Ford F-250

Slider back glass - $954.02
Rear door glass - $305.07

It would be best if you can get someone to come and unlock your vehicle, but that may not always be a choice. So, I thought this information would help.

We hope you all are having a good week! =)

~TUESDAY'S TIPS & INFORMATION~

With many deer on the run lately, I thought it was appropriate to post this one again. Stay safe on the road everyone.

*Wildlife on the Road*

To swerve, or not to swerve?

A collision with some form of wildlife occurs, on average, every 39 minutes.
1 out of every 17 car collisions involves wandering wildlife.
89% of all wildlife collisions occur on roads with 2 lanes.
84% of all wildlife collisions occur in good weather on dry roads.
The average repair cost of a car-deer collision is $2,800.

To avoid adding to these statistics, trim your chances of colliding with traversing wildlife by practicing the following precautions:

*Slow down when passing yellow animal-crossing signs. These warnings are posted because heavy animal traffic frequents the area.

*Wildlife is most active during dusk, dawn, and night. Deer are most frequently hit during dusk and dawn.

*Headlights have an illumination range of 200 to 250 feet. To allow for sufficient brake time, reduce your speed at night.

*Pay attention to shoulders. Even though wildlife may be off to the side as your car approaches, animals may suddenly attempt to flee by inexplicably leaping into the road. Slow as you approach, and don't hesitate to hit the horn.

*Look for reflecting eyes.

*Keep in mind that deer, wander in groups most of the time. If you see one crossing, slow to a crawl. More are bound to follow.

DEER WHISTLES are merely peace-of-mind placebos. Research remains inconclusive as to the advantages of these car-mounted devices.

Now, finally, to answer the swerve-or-not-to-swerve dilemma, experts advise NOT swerving. You can suffer more ghastly consequences from an oncoming UPS delivery truck than from a leaping deer. It is best to ease on the brakes and honk the horn.

~WEDNESDAY'S RECALLS~

Airbags are a crucial safety component of any vehicle, which makes any obstruction to an airbag a crucial safety flaw. Such is the case in some 3,100 model-year 2020 Toyota Highlanders and Highlander Hybrids

Incorrect seat trim covers on one or both of the front seats can prevent the seat-mounted side airbag from deploying properly, which can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Dealers will resolve the issue by inspecting the front seats and replacing the seat trim covers, as necessary, for free. The recall is expected to begin Dec. 13. Owners with further questions can call the automaker at 888-270-9371, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
