After 45 years of being in business in Anoka, we have been informed by the city that our property will be taken in order to construct a new road under highway 10. After much searching in the area for an existing building that would offer us the opportunity to provide the same or similar services we have for the past 45 years, we have decided (sadly) we must move on and dissolve the business. We di
d not in any way ask for this to happen, things were going along pretty well, but God has other plans for our family (including our employees) and although we aren't all aware of what they might be, we will leave it to our Lord to provide as He always has. Over the past 45 years we have gained many friends in the community due to Wright Tire Service and we are thankful to every one who has stayed with us when at times we were without a true top technician. We certainly weren't perfect and some people were happy to point out any flaw, but we have dealt with so many kind people over the years. There was the gentleman who stopped in when COVID was in full swing and asked if we were doing alright and offered to help us out monetarily if we ever needed help. There were so many other stories over the years that bring tears to my eyes thinking about them and probably many others that my father was involved in and I never heard about. The Wright family will not be leaving this area. We've been here for over 100 years so our roots are pretty deep here, but we won't be in the tire and automotive service business. As far as when we will be leaving our property, it's really up to the City of Anoka and the DOT. We would like to stay as long as possible but the people who want their name on this project have made it very difficult for us to keep employees and customers.
