Sometimes a simple hey probably just need to go through carbs turns into a whole lot of fun. This cx500 was one of those. Started there, then valves needed adjusted, aftermarket ignition issue, then starter clutch gave up, so out comes the motor, then back in and a new issue with the ignition module and two bad diodes, then finally got it all dialed it and ready to rip.

This Yamaha went in with leaking fuel t’s on carburetor assembly to another shop. It left there being told the middle cylinder would be dead and it needed 3-5k to fix it. The owner did his own compression test and found all three were the same and dropped it off. Cylinder 3 wasn’t firing and it was because it wasn’t getting fuel. Rebuilt the carbs, set the float height, synced them and it’s running like it should now.

I don’t post as much as I used to, but keeping bikes rolling out of the shop still. New set of bodywork for a r6, fixed a non latching reverse button on a Goldwing, and in the home stretch with a cb400f motor built to same specs as Goldie.

This kz1000 has been seen some miles in her life. With over 47k miles on the odometer it was ready for a fresh top end....

This kz1000 has been seen some miles in her life. With over 47k miles on the odometer it was ready for a fresh top end. .5mm over bore pistons, valve job and head gone through, new cam chain rollers, removed the emissions items and made sure the coils are getting a proper 12volts and it’s ready to ride.
