Everyone remembers to winterize the outboard. The trailer? Not so much, and it's usually the thing that fails you first come spring.

Check your tire pressure and tread before storage, tires lose air sitting all winter and dry rot is real in Alaska cold. Grease the wheel bearings so moisture doesn't get in and seize them up. And test your brakes and lights now, not when you're already hooked up and ready to launch in May.

If you're not sure what to check, swing by and our team will walk the trailer with you.

POV: your campsite floats. 🏕️⛵

This Hewescraft Ocean Pro is basically a cabin on the water, full galley, dinette and a Yamaha out back that'll get you there fast. Anchor winch, Garmin electronics, all the comforts, none of the tent poles.

Camping just got an upgrade. Check it out on our website (link in bio) and let's talk about your next adventure.

Scratch it on a rock, bump a beach landing, run it up a gravel bar, an aluminum boat just shrugs it off and keeps going. That's the whole appeal: less worrying, more fishing.

It's light enough to tow with almost anything, easy enough for one person to handle solo, and tough enough that Alaskan conditions don't scare it. Salt water, fresh water, rough landings, aluminum doesn't care.

Plus it holds its value when you're ready to upgrade. Hard to beat that combo for a day on the water with your people.

We've been putting Alaskans in aluminum boats for 60+ years. Come see why it's still our favorite way to get out there.

Not everyone needs the biggest boat on the water, sometimes you just need something reliable that gets the job done without the extras you'll never use.

That's G3. Straightforward, dependable, built for weekend fishing trips and getting where you're going without fuss.

We've got G3 in stock at Dewey's Cook Inlet. Come take a look.

Summer's gone, but the boating season hasn't closed yet.

60+ years of being Alaska's Yamaha dealer taught us one thing: the boats that run like this are the ones that got serviced in the off-season.

Around here, we don't stay on shore.

From little utility skiffs to cabin rigs running dual Yamahas, this is what getting out on Alaska's water actually looks like. Cook Inlet, wide lakes, coastal runs, doesn't matter, there's a boat in this lineup built for it.

Tag a friend who needs to get off the shore and back out there.

This is why we do what we do. 60+ years in, and it's still the best part of the job, watching someone drive off ready for their next Alaska adventure.

Got a Dewey's story of your own? Tell us about it below, we'd love to hear it. 🎣

Consider this your sign.

We know it's early... but this Duckworth 22' Pac Pro keeps showing up on Alaska's offshore coastal waters season after season, and there's a reason for that.

Tag someone who needs this boat on their list and come see it on the floor at Dewey's Cook Inlet.

End-of-season trips on Cook Inlet still deserve full attention to safety, especially as weather turns and daylight shortens.

We keep a running list of trusted resources on our site for exactly this: the State of Alaska Boating Safety website covers what you need to know before you launch.

Sixty years on these waters taught us that preparation is what makes the difference between a good trip and a bad one. Take five minutes, check the resources, then go enjoy what's left of the season.

Questions about gear or your rig before your next trip? Stop by, that's what we're here for.
