HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

I work with fleet managers to schedule service for semi trucks, semi trailers, straight trucks, and re**er units. I help catch wear items before they become roadside breakdowns. When a unit goes down, fleet partners get priority response across the I-80, I-380, and HWY 151 corridors. We provide mobile roadside service and shop repair.

Safety: Keep up with inspections and scheduled maintenance to help reduce avoidable roadside risks.

The heavy-haul trailer photo is illustrative and does not show the specific unit or inspection described.

No passenger-car repair, fuel/gas service or sales, or DEF sales or service.

HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY

Hear a hiss or whoosh under load, see black smoke, or feel weak power with poor fuel mileage? A leaking charge-air cooler boot, loose clamp, or cracked cold-side charge pipe can keep boost from reaching its commanded level. We can pressure-test or smoke-test the charge-air system and compare commanded boost with actual boost under load. Ignore it and you risk a derate, soot-loaded aftertreatment, and an engine that can’t pull a grade.

Serving I-380 through Cedar Rapids with mobile roadside repair and shop repair.

If stopped, pull fully off the roadway, turn on hazards, set out warning equipment, and stay clear of traffic. Never crawl under unsupported equipment or approach hot wheel ends, cooling systems, or exhaust. Shut down if travel is unsafe or there is overheating, an air, brake, steering, coupling, electrical-smoke, oil-loss, unsafe-visibility, re**er, hydraulic, or wheel-end concern. Never open a hot, pressurized cooling system.

HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

If air pressure climbs slowly, or not at all, and the low-air warning comes on in traffic, listen for a rapid hiss under the hood that stops when the compressor unloads. The air compressor discharge line or its fittings may be leaking. I soap-test the line and fittings with the engine running while watching the gauge for buildup, then check for chafing and a cracked flare.

A failed discharge line can drain the air system fast and compromise braking. Do not move the rig until it is repaired. I provide mobile roadside service along I-380 through Cedar Rapids and repair at the shop.

Pull fully off the roadway, turn hazards on, put warning devices out, and stay clear of traffic. Never crawl under unsupported equipment. Avoid hot wheel ends, cooling systems, and exhaust. Shut down when travel is unsafe or when overheating, air, brake, steering, coupling, electrical-smoke, oil-loss, unsafe-visibility, re**er, hydraulic, or wheel-end conditions exist. Never open a hot pressurized cooling system.

HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

I’m Mitchell, and yes. I come to you for mobile roadside repair. I also work on heavy-duty vehicles at the shop. I run roadside calls around Anamosa and Cedar Rapids, along HWY 151, I-80 near Tiffin, and I-380 through Cedar Rapids and Monticello.

For roadside calls, get to a safe location if possible and turn on your hazard lights while you wait.

HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

A fluid puddle under the driver’s side front, groaning and heavy steering, and a dropping reservoir can point to a leaking steering gear sector shaft seal. I check the fluid level, inspect the sector shaft seal and pressure lines for seepage, then confirm full assist at the wheel with the engine running. A steering gear that runs dry can lose assist. A serious hazard with a loaded trailer.

On HWY 151 near Anamosa, I offer mobile roadside service and shop repair for semi trucks, semi trailers, straight trucks, and re**er units. No passenger-car repair, fuel or gas service or sales, or DEF sales or service.

If stopped, pull fully off the roadway, turn on hazards, put out warning devices, and stay clear of traffic. Never crawl under unsupported equipment; avoid hot wheel ends, cooling systems, and exhaust. Shut down when travel is unsafe or when overheating, air, brake, steering, coupling, electrical-smoke, oil-loss, unsafe-visibility, re**er, hydraulic, or wheel-end conditions exist. Never open a hot pressurized cooling system.

HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE

This trailer floor is shown before the patch. A soft spot, rot or torn section isn’t something to keep running with. It can fail under a forklift or heavy load, put people at risk, and lead to a failed roadside inspection.

Bring your trailer to our Anamosa shop. I’ll patch the damaged floor and help keep it in service. Serving heavy-duty trucks and trailers along the I-80, I-380 and HWY 151 corridors.

HEAVY DUTY ONLY

Safety first: Don’t load or operate a trailer with a damaged or soft floor.

HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

When I’m called about a derate, I first decide what can be evaluated safely on the shoulder and what needs to come into the shop. Roadside conditions, safe access, and what I can reliably verify all matter. I’d rather give you the honest answer than guess.

Safety first: Stay clear of traffic and don’t inspect equipment from an unsafe roadside position.

I provide mobile roadside service and shop repair for semi trucks, semi trailers, straight trucks, and re**er units along the I-80, I-380, and HWY 151 corridors. No passenger-car repair, fuel/gas service or sales, or DEF sales or service.

HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

Parking brake button pushed in, but the maxi still won’t release, and air is hissing at the chamber? Don’t force the rig. The spring brake chamber, its release valve, or the air supply to that wheel end may be the problem. I soap-test the chamber and air line for leaks, then check whether the brake releases when I feed the line directly. A locked wheel end can leave your rig stuck, and forcing it can cause damage.

I provide mobile roadside service on I-80 near Tiffin and shop repair. HEAVY DUTY ONLY means semi trucks, semi trailers, straight trucks, and re**er units. No passenger-car repair, fuel/gas service or sales, or DEF sales or service.

For safety, pull fully off the roadway, turn on your hazards, put out warning devices, and stay clear of traffic. HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY
I work on semi trucks, semi trailers, straight trucks and re**er units, not passenger cars, fuel/gas service or sales, or DEF sales/service.

If your trailer brakes take several seconds to release after you lift off the pedal, the rig can feel like it’s dragging and the drums can get hot. I inspect the trailer brake relay valve and its control line: soap-test for leaks, then use a pressure gauge on the service line to compare trailer release time with the tractor. A slow release can overheat drums or lock a wheel end while you’re rolling.

I provide mobile roadside service and shop repair on I-380 through Cedar Rapids. This library image is illustrative and does not show the exact fault.

If travel is unsafe, pull fully off the roadway, turn on hazards, put out warning devices, and stay clear of traffic. Never crawl under unsupported equipment; avoid hot wheel ends, cooling systems, and exhaust. Shut down for unsafe travel or overheating, air, brake, steering, coupling, electrical-smoke, oil-loss, unsafe-visibility, re**er, hydraulic, or wheel-end conditions. HEAVY DUTY REPAIR SHOP - NO FUEL/GAS SERVICE
HEAVY DUTY ONLY.

If your trailer or drive axle is dog-tracking sideways, the rear tires have feathered edges, or the pull changes with the load, worn torque rod bushings may be letting the axle shift.

I inspect torque rod bushings for cracks or separation, check for play with the axle loaded, and verify axle-to-frame alignment. Misalignment can scrub tires away fast and compromise tracking and stability under a heavy load. Loose torque rod hardware can fail. I provide mobile roadside service on HWY 151 near Anamosa and repair at the shop.

If stopped, pull fully off the roadway, turn on your hazards, put out warning devices, and stay clear of traffic. Never crawl under unsupported equipment. Avoid hot wheel ends, cooling systems, and exhaust. Shut down when travel is unsafe or if overheating, air, brake, steering, coupling, electrical-smoke, oil-loss, unsafe-visibility, re**er, hydraulic, or wheel-end conditions exist. Never open a hot, pressurized cooling system.
