This Honda S2000 came in for a new convertible top, but once the old top was removed, there was a little more work to do than just replacing the fabric.

The previous top had not been installed correctly, so our techs took the time to address the frame, install the tension straps properly, and clean out the rain rail and drains so water could flow the way it should.

Once everything underneath was cleaned up and corrected, we installed a new Robbins Auto Top black cloth top with a glass rear window.

A convertible top replacement is about more than how it looks when it’s finished. The condition of the frame, straps, drainage system and previous installation all matter too.

This 2001 Porsche 911 came in with an aging convertible top showing wear and puckering around the original, and now yellowing, plastic rear window.

We removed the old top down to the frame and installed a new replacement top from GAHH Automotive complete with a new plastic rear window. On these earlier 911 convertibles, the rear window is part of the top assembly itself, so deterioration around that area is an important sign to watch for as the material ages.

The result is a cleaner fit, a clear new rear window, and a top that better matches the look of a luxury sports car

This 2023 Audi A5 convertible came in needing a replacement, and we installed a new factory Audi top to bring it right back to its original look.

The fit, the lines, the way the top meets the body—it all matters. And with a car as clean as this A5, getting those details right really shows.

There’s something especially satisfying about seeing a convertible come back together with a brand-new factory top - here’s a look at the finished result. 👌

Black, red, and back to looking 🔥 C7 Corvette Z06 dash restoration.

This Z06 came in with the same sun-related shrinking we saw on yesterday’s Hertz Edition, this time with the dashboard as the focus.

The dash had to be removed down to the base frame, then thoroughly cleaned and stripped of the original leather and adhesive. Years of heat and sun exposure had caused the underlying plastic to become soft and rubber-like.

Before installing the new leather, we resurfaced and properly prepared the substrate to help prevent future delamination.

The finished dash was reupholstered in Nappa leather with matching red stitching. 🖤❤️

Two Z06s. Two very different looks. Same California sun problem. ☀️

C7 Corvette Z06 Hertz Edition — reupholstered in Nappa leather with matching yellow stitching. 🖤💛
This one was a little more involved than a typical re-cover. Years of sun and heat had caused the original leather to shrink, while the heat and original adhesive had left the underlying plastic soft and rubber-like.

The dash had to be removed down to the base frame, completely stripped and cleaned, and the substrate properly resurfaced before the new leather could be installed. Skipping that step can lead to future delamination.

The result: a completely refreshed Z06 interior, finished in Nappa leather with custom-matched yellow stitching. And this wasn’t the only C7 Z06 we had in the shop… 👀

Another one is coming tomorrow.

Two RAV4s, same repair, different starting points.

One came in with a cracked sunroof panel — still in place, but cracked glass under a sunroof is riskier than it looks. Heat and vibration can cause it to give way without warning, so it still needs a full replacement, not a patch.

The other had already shattered, so most of the work was clearing out the broken glass before the new panel could go in.

Both were handled as insurance claims, worked directly through the carrier. And both repairs ended the same way: new glass, freshly lubricated tracks, and a trim and seal check.

New top, who dis? 🖤

This ‘07 Mini Cooper S was rocking a chalky, cracked top. 15+ years of sun and weather will do that. Swapped it for a fresh black cloth top from GAHH, and it’s back to its classic sport style best.

Fun fact about the R52 (Mini’s first-gen convertible): the top has a built-in sliding sunroof function where you can crack just the front section open before dropping the whole thing 😎

2018 Bentley Flying Spur in for a windshield replacement after a horizontal crack spread across the center of the glass.

We installed OEM windshield glass, meaning it meets the same specifications as the factory original for fit, thickness, and optical clarity.

We also recalibrated the windshield’s sensors after installation. When a windshield is replaced, the position of windshield-mounted sensors or cameras can change slightly. Calibration ensures they’re aligned to the manufacturer’s specifications so the vehicle’s safety and convenience systems operate as intended.

Glass services are a natural extension of the upholstery and convertible top work we’ve done for years—these systems often go hand in hand ✨

This Porsche Cayenne came in with a sagging headliner and separating door panels, and left restored to factory appearance.

A sagging headliner or peeling door panel usually isn’t a glue problem — it’s the factory foam breaking down underneath.

The real fix means full disassembly: stripping the old material, cleaning each panel, and installing new automotive-grade upholstery. Slower than a patch, but it lasts and restores the look of your vehicle’s interior.

This Fiat 500C combines the best of two worlds. It operates like a panoramic sunroof, sliding rearward on guide rails, but it’s also a true convertible with a folding canvas top and finished interior headliner.

Unfortunately, the original assembly suffered broken internal plastic guide components that allow the roof to slide smoothly and lock securely into position. Because these components are integrated into the assembly, the repair required replacing the entire roof system.

We installed a brand-new OEM Fiat roof assembly, including:
• New guide rails
• New exterior canvas
• New interior headliner
• New center brake light
• New motor
• New internal trim and operating components

Installation is no simple bolt-on job. Like many panoramic roof systems, the original assembly must be carefully removed by cutting it free from the vehicle. The new roof is then bonded back into the body using automotive-grade polyurethane adhesive—the same high-strength structural adhesive used to install windshields—creating a durable, weather-tight seal.

Repairs like this require experience in convertible tops, panoramic roof systems, and automotive bonding techniques. It’s a unique combination of skills, and we’re always excited when one of these uncommon projects rolls into the shop.
