We are saddened to learn of the passing of our friend Gary Shaver (left). This pic is from January 2022 on the last day at our old shop at the Corona Airport before we moved to Norco.
Gary was introduced to our team by his late brother and our friend Leroy Shaver. A masterful plumber and electrician, he was seeking something to be involved in during retirement and, boy, did we need all the king’s horses and all the king’s men (Leroy’s quote). There was never a job or errand too small or tedious that Gary wouldn’t tackle with full enthusiasm. He wasn’t a fixture at the races outside of Pomona - he was the quintessential “old guy at the shop” behind the scenes who we all need to get things accomplished. He was our most reliable shop guy and biggest fan. In his last act on the day we were at the shop loading the car for Sonoma, he made a run to buy beer for the crew and refused reimbursement.
