Cummins in for some new tires and to get rid of that grid heater nut from hell!

Removed the stock intake horn and upgraded to a unit to alleviate the stress of riding around with the factory grid heater nut. It also matched the truck nicely!

Then hooked him up with a fresh set of Baja boss tires 33x12.50 for his 12 wides!

L5P came in for check engine light and reduced engine power. Found a large number of codes set, so we narrowed it down to the most important first. Found the whole EGR system non responsive. Went digging checking wiring and found some nasty green in the egr connector and valve itself. The terminals in the valve were too far gone to save along with the connector. We wired in a new pigtail and replaced the egr valve and got the system working again. Then chased the next set of codes for the MAF sensor which ended up being an almost broken wire at the connector. Replaced that terminal and all issues appeared to fixed. Ran it through a regeneration and then Reducant system test, lo and behold check engine light came back for DPF efficiency. Found the 4 bolt fl**ge for the exhaust missing 3 studs. Extracted the broken studs installed a new gasket and hardware and ran our tests over to verify. Passed all tests and back to work it went. It’s important to do your due diligence in verification after repairs!

6.4 Hemi dropped off with a misfire and engine noise. A quick check of compression let me know we had big issues somewhere. Upon inspection found a broken valve spring, that let the valve drop, and we all now piston to valve contact no one wins. Bent the valve, and put a nice window in the piston. The oil pan had the valve locks and some piston ring fragments so we knew we needed a new engine. We opted for a fresh short block from Ram, and then outfitted it with new components to ensure a long life. New manifolds, oil pan, dipstick tube, transmission lines and more! This Hemi should live another 150k+ no sweat!

25 Chevy 2500 In for some new rubber courtesy of ! These new Open Country RT Pros are a mean looking tire. 35x12.50x20 pictured and the most weight total any rim took was 2.50oz. That speaks volumes for the quality of Toyo tires in my opinion. I have a feeling these will be as hot a seller as the AT3!

Also pictured we swapped out a set of 10ply trailer tires for a set of Hercules 14ply for better reliability! When your towing a trailer everyday knowing you have a quality tire is serious piece of mind!

Maintenance is the lifeblood of your vehicle! If you prolong it, it’s usually accompanied by expensive repair bills in today’s modern vehicles. We strive to minimize downtime and repairs and that definitely begins with routine maintenance! We gave both these Cummins and pre season service. Synthetic oil changes and new fuel filters to give them a a fresh bill of health after a long winter. The trail-boss received its normal 5000mi synthetic oil change with tire rotation. Get in the habit of good a maintenance program and it will pay off in the long run!

LML in for a few additions!

Replaced the overdue air filter with a new cold air setup from our friends .

Added in a in tank lift pump to try and keep that cp4 happy and fed for as long as possible!
