We run six classes of race cars including sprint cars, modifieds, limited modifieds, street stocks, limited late models and tuners. We provide a family-friendly atmosphere with full concessions and souvenir shop. We run from early May through late August each year, excluding holiday weekends. Plenty of parking is available with access for handicap and 18-wheelers. The track is located east of town 1-1/2 miles south of I-40 on Lakeside. Gates open at 5:30 pm, races start at 7.

We want to take the time to personally thank a pair of great local businesses for giving back to the racing community for this weekend’s “Pokey’s” Fan Appreciation Night!

Victory Diesel & Equipment Service has sponsored the longest haul for $100! The driver and crew who travel the farthest to race with us this weekend will receive $100 on Saturday!

Victory Diesel & Equipment Service is a one-stop Lubbock-based shop for all heavy equipment and hauling needs, located at 2412 118th St. in Lubbock.

Caindigg automotive has sponsored the shortest trailer for $100! The winner will be awarded on Saturday as well!

Caindigg Automotive is a family-owned repair shop also based in Lubbock at 1604 128th St., and offers towing services along with full automotive repairs.

We had the honor of spending this morning with our friends at Storybridge, a local non-profit organization based right here in Amarillo, working to connect children with one of the greatest gifts of all - books! 📚

Storybridge's mission is to ensure that all children in the Amarillo area own at least 20 books from birth through fifth grade. Through their commitment to early childhood literacy and acts of service, children all across Amarillo have greater access to literacy during the most crucial stages of their development.

We want to thank the amazing organizers at Storybridge, each family that made the trip out to see us, and every driver and track worker who spent their morning making a difference.

P.S. We hope we made some new race fans while we were at it. 😉

We had hoped that we’d stay lucky with the weather, but our luck ran out last night.

With water standing on the track and more set to move in this afternoon, we’re unfortunately going to have to postpone this weekend’s fan appreciation night to June 20.

All tickets already purchased will be honored for that night, and all deals remain in place ($5 entry, free hot dogs) PLUS we’ll have a full 7 classes, including USRA stock cars and 305 sprints.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope to see everyone back out on the 20th!
