G & M Transmissions has been in business since 1979 - Gene and Mary Ann Hurt purchased G & M in February of 2004 - Farnsworth Transmissions has been in business since 1954 - Gene and Mary Ann purchased Farnsworth Transmissions in December 2008. The two businesses have been combined to form G & M Farnsworth Transmissions. Two great transmission shops now as one! This allows us to keep our overhead

and cost down to better serve Amarillo and the surrounding area - including New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas. We provide everyday services such as:oil changes,brake jobs, transmission services, general automotive and diagnostics, to the extensive jobs of transmission rebuilds and replacements,clutch jobs, and transfer case rebuilds. We provide a free diagnostic check to diagnose the problem.

In light of the new Shelter in Place order for the city, we want to let our customers know that we are considered an essential business, and that we are still open. Customer safety is our main concern, so we are offering pick up and delivery of cars that need to be serviced.
