This week has seen several losses to the local automotive enthusiast scene and the one that hits the BCAAC the hardest is the unexpected passing of long-time member Robert Risbon of Altoona. Bob provided several years of enthusiastic service to the BCAAC: first as a director, then ascending to president and ultimately serving as a member of the executive board and also volunteering as a judge at competitive events.

Shown here with his tremendous 1973 Corvette in the mid 2010s around the time that they moved back to Altoona, Bob could often be found at events throughout the region with this Corvette, the later yellow Corvette or else most recently, the blue 55 Ford. Please feel free to pay your respects directly to Becky and the rest of the family in this challenging time for them.

Our friends at Horsepower Hill at Weaklands will be staging a car, truck & motorcycle fundraiser event for Make-A-Wish on this upcoming weekend, so bring out your vehicle and enjoy the foilage on the way to Chest Springs on Saturday afternoon.

Stay for the whole day or else come back later in the evening for plenty of pulling! (Check out the entire Horsepower Hill at Weaklands page for the list of classes that will be running on Saturday evening.)
