Most property managers assume they need separate vendors for every building system.

🚫The myth: more vendors = better coverage.
➡️The reality: more vendors = more coordination, longer response times, inconsistent service standards.

IMS covers general building maintenance, facility repairs, tenant improvements, preventative maintenance and more across Florida with the same standards and responsiveness every time.

May is the month to have a property inspection, if you haven't already. Buildings that skip spring checkups face summer breakdowns—HVAC failures during heat waves, electrical overloads, cooling system failures. IMS handles spring inspections across lighting, plumbing, roofing, and facility systems so you're ready before the season ramps up.

One inspection now. No surprises later.

Hurricane season starts June 1. The buildings that come through a storm in the best shape aren't the ones that scrambled in late May. They're the ones where maintenance has been steady all year.

A roof you haven't inspected since last season is a roof you don't actually know the condition of. A drain that handles a normal afternoon storm may not handle six inches in two hours. A generator that started last September might not start this June.

The new blog covers what to check before June 1, and the items most hurricane checklists miss.

When was the last time your building had a full maintenance inspection?

If you can't remember, that's the problem. Buildings without preventative programs don't stay problem-free—they stay surprising. Emergency repairs. Unexpected costs. Tenant complaints.

IMS handles regular inspections and condition monitoring so you know what's coming. Preventative maintenance isn't optional if you want to protect your asset.

Hurricane season threatens electrical systems twice. During the storm: wind damage, water intrusion, and system strain. After the storm: dangerous power surges when the grid restores, destroying HVAC systems, elevators, and security panels in seconds.

Aged electrical panels and poor grounding compound both risks. IMS evaluates and reinforces your electrical infrastructure before both threats hit—evaluating surge protection, grounding, and load capacity so your systems survive the storm and the restoration that follows.

It's Hurricane Prepardness Week: A compromised roof becomes a liability during hurricane season. Wind, water intrusion, structural damage—it all starts at the top. IMS inspects roofing condition, flashing integrity, and sealed entry points now so your building is ready when storms arrive.

Small repairs now prevent catastrophic damage later.

Two years in, and Alva Reid has become someone we genuinely look forward to working with every day.

From day one, Alva brought more than technical skill. He brought energy, a willingness to tackle anything, and a straightforward kindness that changes the tone of a team. He doesn't wait to be asked—he steps in, figures out what needs doing, and does it well.

That kind of attitude matters. It shows in how he works with teammates, how he approaches challenges, and how he shows up for clients.

Alva, thanks for two years of real dedication and genuine partnership. We're glad you're part of IMS.
Here's to what comes next.
