last weekend was the wheels of time jamboree in Macungie. Bill and Mary attended and provide a wonderful snapshot of events with a variety of photos. Many happy memories of Saturday night with Flaming Dick and the Hot Rods when the kids were younger. - maybe 25 years ago? Seems like yesterday, but here's one of the few things that doesn't seem to change.

AACA - to finish up we hit the 50's 60's and 70's and later. Thanks to Mr Bulgari for sharing his incredible facility, and thanks to the AACA for bringing such high quality machinery to our locale and making it all so accessible and affordable.

Back at AACA, we will hit the 30's and 40's. two of the buildings were open, and the first one I entered had a wonderful display of 30's coupes. Businessmen expresses. I don't know much about these, but I do enjoy the art form. Not too many shots of the 40's as war intervened, but a couple of examples on hand.

AACA had a meet at the Bulgari center today. Literally hundreds of shots with Bill, Mary, and I snapping away, so I will post a couple times as I sort through them. AACA so generous with their meets. $2.00 to get in for seniors. $5.00 regular. No charge parking. The cars are judged so every one is pristine. And of course those on display in the Bulgari collection are all beyond reproach. But we start at Ham Fam for breakfast with Bruce and Sonny leading a fishing conversation. Then off to the show, in which I'll go chronological with this group being the teens and 20's

a rainy Sunday, no car action, but could be a good time to post some shots from earlier in the summer. Garrett was up for a visit, and with Sonny, a trip to the angle was in order. Some fabulous shots ensued, and seem worthy to post here. Enjoy the setting, the lighting, the compositions, and of course the cars. Good way to brighten a somewhat dreary afternoon.

here's the second set from New Hope. Theres a lot of Rolls and Bentley. Can't say I'm real well versed on these- especially the new ones. But, they get the shady spot, so Bill, Mary, and I all enjoyed the ambiance over there. Next we headed up river to Lumberville and the Black Bass. Then, with the river road closing- back roads back to home. We passed by Space Mountain in memory of the departed Mike Space. And then to Epernay, Jim Zawick and Dennis Benner's project by the golf courses at Saucon. This was Jim's concept - an avid Francophile. It took 20 years to get going, but the last lot has been sold, just as Jim passed away. I posted back in 2020 when we had a nice run based from his house. Reposted it last week. At least a bit of a memorial. His Morgan +8, and Alfa Giulietta are up for grabs as the family members they were promised to have decided to put them for auction. If I get details, I'll post here. In the meantime:

twas a hot day indeed for the Sunday New Hope show featuring the furrin' cerrs. A/C was the order of the day - except for Jeff, whose 964 ac was in op. Mini MC40, Porsche 996 and BMW 330 ci coupe were more suited to a decent breakfast in Hellertown and a brisk morning run on back roads to New Hope. Once there we braved the sunny weather, checked out the cars, and retired at noon to the Black Bass for restoratives. Great way to spend a summer day. On the way home, river road was closed above point pleasant, but SIRI found us a great route with covered bridges, Van Sant airport, and narrow winding lanes along creek beds. Couldn't have done better if I tried. alphabetical we are for first 40 shots. Bill, Mary and I were snapping away. that gets us up to P. I'll post the next 40 later, where we explore the Rolls, Bentley brigade, on the road and lumberville shots, and cap it off in Epernay, Jim Zawicks French village located behind his house...

Another Awkst Fescht in the books. 3 days of fun in the sun in Macungie. Been going to it since we moved from 30th St. out to Riverbend Road in 1963 I think. So maybe since 1964, or 65 or so we started going. The badge says 63rd event, so 63 might have been the first. Our neighbor Fred Weiss had a Model A Tudor deluxe in Andalusite Blue. I'm sure he took us over there the first time. I recall seeing some very high end classics over the years Duesy, Pierce, Lincoln. We had several collectors in town who would have exhibited. Bob Wood, Bernie Berman, Ray Holland. Jed's Dad amongst them. But today we are there with Keystone British Car Club on what the show bills as club day. Good times as always. Family tradition says Abbey comes with me and is rewarded with a T-shirt. Later Family tradition says I am rewarded with a brew at the Tiki Hut up the road.

Sunday was the (hopefully) annual cars and coffee chez Todd's place. He had one about a year ago which many of us attended. The drive got screwey as a gravel trail over the blue mountain was on the route... perfect for the low slung speedsters...NOT! anyway, this year pushed back a little to celebrate Todd's birthday. Back in 2010 or so, Jeff had a storage building up near Todd's house, and the rocking chair saga began. I tried to find some photos from that inaugural drive.. some great shots of some of the participants here when we went up to the Pocono track to see the VSCCA racers bomb around. Couldn't find them,
but at the end I'll post some shots from last year, and a shot from an old x-mas drive of Todd and Amanda. Thanks for hosting! Happy B-day, and many joyful returns.
