WE LOVE CLASSICS – When a beautifully restored 1970 Chevy C-10 came to our door, everyone had to stop and take a look. The owner wanted to upgrade the audio while keeping the classic factory look. We installed a Custom Autosound retro Bluetooth radio for the right look in the dash. Powering the system is an AudioControl EPICFIVE amplifier. Using custom speaker brackets from Custom Autosound, we installed a pair of AudioControl PNW4 dash speakers. For the mid-bass, we used a pair of Kicker 51KSC6504 coaxial speakers mounted in custom kick-panel pods. Low-end fill comes from an Infinity Reference RF1000S 10-inch slim subwoofer and enclosure behind the front seats. We also added Stinger X sound damping to improve sound quality and reduce road noise. The result is a classic truck upgraded with a clean, powerful system while keeping the original look intact! The owner of a 2012 Audi A7 came to our Albuquerque location looking to add some serious bass while keeping her factory Bose car audio system. The answer was an Audio Control LC2I line out converter that seamlessly integrates into virtually any factory system. It provides a clean signal for the Kicker 46CXA18001 3600-watt mono amplifier. CX-Series Kicker amps reach massive power levels thanks to an optimized circuit layout and the highest-grade internal components. Highly efficient heat sinks keep the amp cool with a sophisticated new look. All that power is driving two Kicker 42CWQ122 Q Class 12 inch subwoofers. The subs are mounted in a high-output vented Q-Power QBOMB12V enclosure. The bed liner finish of the enclosure blends in anywhere and provides awesome durability. The poor sounding factory car audio system in his 2018 Subaru WRX was making the owner crazy, so he came into our San Mateo location to find a solution. He had decided on keeping his factory radio so we used a Helix DSP MINI OEM integration processor with a 64-Bit DSP to fix the factory signal. In addition, the DSP MINI offers unique DSP features like Augmented Bass Processing, StageXpander and Real Center function, which open new possibilities to tweak an audio system. Powering the interior speakers is a Kenwood Excelon XR401-4 four channel amplifier. Both the Kenwood amp and Helix DSP were custom mounted on an ABS bracket under the passenger seat. The front doors now house the Blam 165RS component speakers and have had a Hushmat AE00010 treatment to cut rattle and road noise. The rear speakers were also replaced with a matching set of Blam 165RC coaxial speakers with a similar Hushmat treatment. To add the much-needed low-end fill to the car audio system, we installed the JL Audio ACP112LGTW1 single 12-inch TW1 sealed loaded subwoofer enclosure. This system was a perfect fit for the limited space in the WRX trunk. We again did a Hushmat AE0020 trunk sound deadening treatment. We then tuned the system on the laptop with Audiotec Fischer’s DSP PC-TOOL Version 4 along with the MTK 1 measurement toolkit. This customer came in looking to add some interior LED accent lighting to his vehicle. We had just the upgrade to make his 2017 Hyundai Sonata look and feel more premium. We added Accele’s Litt Works LW200RF light strips to the footwells and another kit to the door pockets. This gave the customer full multicolor RGB lighting and added the custom look he was going for. This customer came in looking to enhance the low-end fill of the car audio system in his 2007 Chevy 1500 Silverado pickup. He decided on a JL Audio RD500/1 mono amplifier to power a JL Audio CS110TG-TW3 loaded 10 subwoofer enclosure. This setup offered clean bass response and is optimized to work in a small space. A customer came in looking to upgrade his car audio system with some big bass in his 2003 Cadillac CTS. He also wanted to be able to build and upgrade on this bass system later. We started with a Kicker 46CXA12001 1200-watt mono amplifier to power his new sub. The Kicker amp is running a Q Class L7 square Kicker 41L7122 12 inch subwoofer in a custom-built high output SPL box tuned to 31hz. A customer came in looking to go loud and clean by upgrading his car audio system with some bass in his 2009 Toyota Yaris. With little room in this vehicle, we made every inch count. We went with a JL Audio XD1000/1V2 mono amplifier and XD400/4V2 4 channel amplifier to power the system. We incorporated a Shuriken power cell to help support the charging system until we install the new upgraded actuator, Big Three and power banks.
