This past Friday, we celebrated as two teammates from our Albuquerque market officially graduated from Open Road Collision's RACE (REPAIR-APPRENTICE-CAREER-EVOLUTION) Apprentice Program. They were honored at a ceremony surrounded by their families and peers.

At Open Road Collision, we believe the best way to strengthen our industry is by investing in the next generation of collision repair professionals. We’re committed to developing tomorrow's technicians from within our own organization. Through hands-on training, real-world experience, and the guidance of experienced mentors, our apprentices gain the skills, confidence, and craftsmanship needed for long-term careers.

One of the highlights of Friday’s graduation—it marked the first father-and-son mentor/apprentice team to complete the RACE program together. Watching years of experience, knowledge, and passion for the trade pass from one generation to the next is exactly what this program is all about.

The mentor-apprentice relationship remains one of the best ways to preserve the craftsmanship of our industry. Every repair, every lesson, and every challenge overcome together helps prepare the next generation to carry our the industry forward.

Congratulations to Brody and Loysal on your outstanding achievement, and thank you to their mentors who dedicated their time and expertise to their success. We're proud of what you've accomplished and even more excited about what lies ahead.

Happy Retirement Ken! Thank you for many years of amazing dedication and commitment. You will be missed by the team. Don't be a stranger!

We would like to give a shout out to Ken Kreider. Today we honored his incredible career during a retirement lunch with his teammates at our Car Crafters-528 location.

Ken dedicated the last 15 years to Car Crafters after spending over 20 years in law enforcement serving his community. Throughout his time with us, he became the definition of a true team player. Whether working in the front office, parts department, supporting operations behind the scenes, or stepping in wherever help was needed across multiple locations, Ken never hesitated to say, "I'll take care of it."

His willingness to serve others, positive attitude, and dependable nature made a lasting impact on countless teammates and customers alike. More than anything, Ken lived out the values that define Open Road Collision every day through his Integrity, Discipline, Courage, and Respect.

Ken, thank you for your years of dedication, your servant's heart, and the example you've set for all of us. Your teammates will certainly miss seeing you around the shops, but we're excited for you as you begin this next chapter.

From everyone across the Open Road Collision network, congratulations on your retirement. We wish you nothing but health, happiness, and many great adventures ahead.

We’re proud to share an exciting milestone for our RACE Apprentice Program at OpenRoad Collision.

This past week, tool sets started arriving for our apprentices—helping them take the next step as they transition into the body shop and begin working hands-on alongside their mentors. These tool kits are provided in partnership with I-CAR and give apprentices a strong foundation as they continue learning the craft and building confidence on the shop floor.

Apprentices who have completed the required training milestones have already begun receiving their tool boxes, and it’s been great to see the excitement and pride that comes with reaching this achievement.

We believe in investing in people, supporting career growth, and building the next generation of skilled collision repair professionals—and this is just one more way we’re doing that.
