Curt's Classic Cars

Curt's Classic Cars I've been a car enthusiast since a 1968 HS Sophomore. Here are photos of many of my cars over the years including ones my kids and I restored together later on.

The first car I bought my wife while we were attending Eastern Washington State College back in the early '70s. A 1965 Mustang Convertible with a 289 and 4spd. She didn't know how to drive a stick shift, so I taught her and she did very well. That trailer was our home until I graduated and it worked very well for us and saved us alot of money. To the right is a small ski boat we had just restored for the fun of it. We restored everything we got our hands on. Cars, trailers, boats and even a 1958 Triumph 350 Cub Motorcycle. We tackled it all and had fun doing it together. ;-)

My first car as a HS Sophomore, a 1955 Ford Customline. This one started my car obsession. I bought it at the end of my 9th grade (even though I couldn't drive it legally yet) but I had fun fixing it up and eventually learning to drive and get my license (on the first try). At the end of my Sophomore year I found my dream car that only Beach Boy songs are written about. It was a '62 Impala SS with the factory "409" engine, dual 4 carbs and 4spd. It was red with black interior and it passed everything on the road except the gas stations! High Octane Chevron Custom Supreme at .42c per gallon which I thought was expensive back then. Hahaha... ;-)

My '64 Dodge Polara 2dr Htp. I had this one just before I got my yellow '67 Barracuda shown below around 1995 in Walla Walla Washington. I actually found this on a regular used car lot and it had maybe 80,000 miles on it. This was one of my favorites back then. You rarely see them anymore.

Here's a '76 Corvette I restored and sprayed last Fall 2025 (before and after photos).

At last count, I think I've owned 16 of them over the past 50 years! Most of them C3s.

Exactly..... because we were young once too and know how it's done. ;-).

Our '62 Impala around 1997. Last photo shows as we bought it. Tan exterior and interior. I painted it metalic blue and dyed the interior black. The black spoke American "Torque Thrust" wheels really helped set it off. Great cruiser car.

My '65 Impala SS. This rare Chevy factory color that I sprayed is called "Evening Orchid" and the wheels were American "Torque Thrust" style. The wheels looked sharp with the body color matching painted hubs showing through the black spokes.
