Auto Body Technician needed

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our family owned hot rod shop. Located in the heart of Akron for 30 years, Klassy Kars is a well known shop in the classic and hot Rod car restoration world. As an Auto Body Technician/fabricator on our award winning team, you will be responsible for a wide array of fabricating, sheet metal welding, chassis and drivetrain upgrades in the restomod, custom and classic car style This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and attention to detail. Duties:
- Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Repair or replace damaged vehicle parts, such as fenders, doors, and bumpers
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking
- Apply paint and finish to vehicles using appropriate techniques
- Use power tools and equipment to disassemble and assemble vehicle components
-Other duties as may be assigned to support shop operations
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficient in auto body repair techniques, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Ability to use power tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of welding techniques is preferred but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19 - $29 per hour
Expected hours: 19 – 40 per week
