I am Walking to Defeat ALS again this year in memory of my Dad, Jess Lightner. He passed to this horrible disease in January of 2011. I will continue to Walk because he wasn't able to! I will continue to Walk in memory of others who have suffered & passed like Joe Tasich, and in support of all the people currently affected by this disease. Must have a good attitude - be able to function well in a physically demanding environment & have great attendance! Needs to have experience supervising a team! Must be comfortable working in/out doors year round and willing to learn the inspecting, sorting, loading, unloading, shipping & receiving of tires as needed.

HAPPY RETIREMENT TO THE BEST TRUCK DRIVER EVER!!!!
After 44 years of working for Lightner Tire……Lester P. Hartley has decided to enjoy some much earned relaxation. We celebrated him with all our employees - told some fun stories and thanked him for his hard work & dedication with some gifts, including a new recliner for him to relax in. He will forever be part of the Lightner Tire family and will surely be missed by us and our customers! 💙

We are an Akron tire recycling company seeking a full-time trailer mechanic to maintain our large fleet of semi-trailers.
Job requirements including, but not limited to:

*Climbing in and out of trailers
*Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
* Removing tires, wheels and performing brake jobs
*Use of tools includes riveting, drilling and grinding, cutting,
welding, etc.
* Working on trailer floors, doors/panels, rails and suspensions, wiring
* comfortable working in/out doors year round and function
well in physically demanding environment.
*Strong general mechanical aptitude
* Semi-trailer experience a must!
