Rod Fuller and his wife, Roberta, can add another treasure to the memories of raising their daughter, whom they called their Little Princess. Only this time, they’ll remember her for hitting speeds close to 117 mph at the Qlipse Raceway Park.
It turns out Kila’s a Drag Racing Queen. She drove her husband's Twin Turbo Audi, and the rest is Fuller family history.
“It’s her husband’s car, and he volunteered her to race for the very first time," said Rod. “That was our first time at an event like that. It was a fun and neat experience.”
Rod and Roberta will tell you everyone they met made them feel welcome - to the Qlipse Raceway Park employee who helped them find a parking spot, to the race fans who helped them figure out the ins and outs of drag racing.
“I thought it was just a nice bunch of folks,” Rod said. “It wasn’t an event I would normally frequent, but now that I have done it, it was fun. We would go back another time for something different to do on a Friday night.”
We’re so happy you enjoyed the experience, Rod. We hope you come back and join us again, even if the Little Princess turned Drag Racing Queen isn’t competing.
